I live in New York and I am always crazy about Spanish tapas! So I planned my trip to southern Spain and had the chance to go to Cordoba! My friends took me to this new place located by the river... and I surely did like it! The restaurant is so alive, and it has a great vibe. The food was amazing, very genuine and loyal to the basics of true Spanish cuisine. The gracious chief, (I think he was the owner) and if I remember well, his name was Javi was absolutely welcoming. He was very knowledgable about the food and its ingredients and since I like to ask a lot of questions, he really gave me every little detail about it which made the soiree even more enjoyable. Also, they were very good in pairing the wines with the dishes we ordered and the most surprising thing... the interaction with us was in a fluent English! which makes Amarre even more welcoming, since is located in a highly transit touristic area. If you visit Cordoba, remember to go by Amarre and enjoy their delicious tapas and wines and mostly the genuine care and attention of their chief, Javi. Looking forward to going back soon!!!

Definitely if you visit Cordoba you must visit this really cute place just beside the river and enjoy your drink with friends or couples at a nice ambience and great value for money! When we went with my girlfriend from Greece we didn't expect that we will have such a beautiful dinner! The young man I think Javi his name was very helpful and he assisted us with the order of the special Spanish dishes of the day and so I had a nice soup something like gazpacho but he said it's a typical dish in cordoba named salmorejo.Very delicious apetizer!!!My girlfriend she also took the same and we shared the tartar of tuna which was astonishing! Then we had some special wine of the area and javi brought us some jamon and cheese from the house just because we were his first guests from Greece! We had an unforgettable time and thank you guys for your amazing hospitality!
p.s It was the only place in 3 days in Cordoba that the owner and service could speak a word in English!:D~
I highly recommend this place for everyone in the neighborhood or not..:)

Amarre was a surprise for us. We got recommended and it ended up being just the place we were looking for. It is just by the rivera, so it makes it walkable from the old town. The two young men who run the bussines can't be nicer and made us feel like we had been there before. We were unsure of what to take, so they brought us over all sort of different tapas which was great! we got a little tasting of only the best of Amarre! the food is just amazing and very good quality for the price. We also had an amazing wine bottle. I loved the stuffed mushrooms! Best I've ever tried! Sometimes they have typical spanish dishes, like the dish of the day, so you might ask them. After our lovely lunch, we stayed for a couple of after drinks and the place had a lovely vibe, really spanish like. This is a place a normal spanish would go to, so if you are in Cordoba and looking for a nice ambience with lovely food and reasonable prices, Amarre is your place! I'm sure you'l enjoy it. ;)
