I live in New York and I am always crazy about Spanish tapas! So I planned my trip to southern Spain and had the chance to go to Cordoba! My friends took me to this new place located by the river... and I surely did like it! The restaurant is so alive, and it has a great vibe. The food was amazing, very genuine and loyal to the basics of true Spanish cuisine. The gracious chief, (I think he was the owner) and if I remember well, his name was Javi was absolutely welcoming. He was very knowledgable about the food and its ingredients and since I like to ask a lot of questions, he really gave me every little detail about it which made the soiree even more enjoyable. Also, they were very good in pairing the wines with the dishes we ordered and the most surprising thing... the interaction with us was in a fluent English! which makes Amarre even more welcoming, since is located in a highly transit touristic area. If you visit Cordoba, remember to go by Amarre and enjoy their delicious tapas and wines and mostly the genuine care and attention of their chief, Javi. Looking forward to going back soon!!!
