I stopped in at Mercado Victoria last week and had a right old gastronomic adventure, nibbling on manchego and cecina with a fine Ribera del Duero, various incarnations of salmorejos, to er, baked potatoes and frozen yoghurt (let that one pass), champagne and oysters, and even Argentinian-style empanadas filled with rabo di toro (oxtail) I could have had sushi or quite a few other dishes but I was, full! All in, I recommend visitors get to el Mercado Victoria for a taste of Cordoba embracing the modern world (you can't live on bacalau and rabo for ever!)

in what looks like an orangerie in victoria park, the now repurposed space is full of interesting food shops that serve from breakfast food to excellent oysters, caviar and fine french champagne. a perfect alternative to the usual restaurants in the city as one may be able to 'graze' in this wonderful attraction in the park.

Excellent little place with nice decor and a great array of food to browse or delve into. We tried a smoothie from the frutería and it was delicious

We were doing an afternoon walking tour around the outskirts of the 'old town' - just the 4 of us following a tour map that the hotel gave us - this place looked good, so we spent some time wandering around drooling at the exquisite offerings on display. We finally purchased 4 glasses of excellent wine & a 12 gourmet 'mini-burgers' (I know - it's disgraceful eating burgers in Spain, but the locals were going mad for them too) The food was excellent, of course and we would have stayed to try some other morsels but lacked time. Will visit again next time we are in town. There's something for all tastes on offer. Do visit if you're passing.

This is a newly refurbished Victorian market with lovely old cast iron work and modern glass. There are numerous stalls selling food and drink to consume there or to take away. Very good value sherry and wine and lots of tapas. On a very hot day we spent an hour or two sampling the goods on offer and thought it was a really nice experience. It is only five minutes or so walk from the Juderia and is on the hop-on/hop-off route with a stop opposite.
