The shops here are great. Not to be missed. It is an impressive area of Cordoba so make sure you include it in your explorations.

We had an awesome tour of Jewish Cordoba with Gershon. He is an absolute expert on all of the sites in the city and Spanish history in general. We had many interesting discussions with him about the Jewish history in Spain as well as the current situation. Gershon was right on the platform when our train arrived and was very helpful in assisting us with our rental car. Gershon was very good at giving us a really clear and detailed picture of the Jewish history of Spain all in a few hours! I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you so much Gershon!

The Jewish quarter was where our hotel was based an it comprises of a miriad of winding narrow streets with shops and bars.

Culturally it's the heart of Cordoba, or felt that way, so quite beautiful in many ways. As ever there are downsides, it can get very cramped and this isn't helped by some travellers who can block the roads. Beware of traffic too, never think a narrow road is too narrow for a taxi to come down!

The shops are a mix of artisan and those which accommodate the day trippers, not a criticism but many of these sell the same fare as the next. But that's to be expected, just worth knowing.

Definitely worth a visit, interesting winding cobbled streets, with jewellery shops, souvenir shops and cafes and restaurants. Walk through it to get to the mesquite and bell tower. Lots of lovely restaurants with shady patio gardens.

Wonderful to walk through the narrow streets that are lined with colorful potted flowers to reach the small, but very old synagogue.
Very safe and cute.
