“Perfect Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2010

We told the owners in advance it was our wedding anniversary. They were aware of this and gave us a beautiful room with a balcony, jacuzzi, and huge king bed. In fact later we learned the King and Queen of Spain had used this room when they came to Cordoba, photos to prove it.
Beautiful paintings and linens, breakfast in bed included, care about our well-being, gave us umbrellas, gave us directions, helped us with bags, gave us great local fortified wine when we arrived and the next evening, made us feel at home in every way. No wifi but computers in the rooms are fine. The people who run this hotel know how to do everything right. The restaurant is also superb, marvelous dinner. This hotel deserves more stars, don't know why it doesn't have them. Perhaps because it is an inn, and has only a few rooms. Our best stay in Spain.

This hotel was the highlight of the places we stayed in Spain. The hotel is a wonderful combination of modern comfort and historic ambience.

The room was nicely decorated with antiques, very comfortable with everything you could need, including computer and tv. It had a cute view onto the little laneway outside. The staff were outstanding. Reception was 24 hours and they offered us every assistance, giving us advice on what to see, when to go, where to eat, anything! When we arrived we were offered a tasting of different sherries, a very nice welcome.

Breakfast was also a pleasure. In addition to the selection of bread and sausage spread, we tasted some regional specialities (toast with orange juice and cinamon. yum!) and sherry as a digestif.
Cordoba is such a special place and this hotel made it even more so for us.

Even though this wonderful hotel gets many fabulous reviews, I needed to add ours to the list. It was a very pleasant space with nice rooms, wonderful breakfasts and near their restaurant of the same name which is delightful. In addition, when my wife left her glasses in the room when we left, Juan was kind enough to go out of his way to send them back to her. They even paid the postage. This was definitely the best hotel we stayed in during our recent 2 weeks in Spain. We would love to return.

This is a perfectly pleasant hotel, quiet, well-positioned, with helpful staff, but at 150 euros a night, it is over-priced. It appears to be aiming at the boutique hotel market, but in terms of the fundamentals, the accommodation is little different from what can be obtained elsewhere for half the cost. About the only worthwhile extra benefit it offers is free internet access - unless you set store by such fripperies as fancy collections of toiletries, supposedly jacuzzi-style bath, double shower curtain, etc. Our room was not spacious and the furnishings were nothing special. Although helpful when asked, staff were not especially forthcoming. For example, they did not volunteer information about the choice of food in fact available for breakfast, which was waitress served rather than buffet - odd, given what you were paying.

Special part of our Cordoba experience. Many extra levels of service and elegance. Several things happened out of their control, such as the street closing for repairs and they went above and beyond. Be sure and ask for cooked items with breakfast. Often not offered until pastries and toast.
