We stayed for 3 nights in January and after looking at several hotels, booked this one on basis of good reviews - we loved it: The hotel is in perfect location to see all the sights, the staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was on first floor with a small balcony looking onto the street which was quiet at night. Room and bathroom were warm and very comfortable. The roof terrace is amazing and we were amazed to see that they had an 'Honesty Bar' for the drinks available. We were lucky with the weather so even though we wore a jumper, were able to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine in the late afternoon sun. Parking was close and one of the staff parked it for us and brought it out when we left. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it without hesitation. Tip: we did the walking tour with Christine which was really interesting, great value.

Room tip: We stayed in 1st floor room at front which was lovely, quiet at night too.

Stayed just two nights here , good location to see the sights of Cordoba but we were disappointed with the room which was basic not even a picture on the wall or headboard on the bed
Only one bedside light and a small bathroom with a glass door between the bedroom and bathroom ( what genius thought that was a good idea ? )
Having said that we slept well the bed was comfortable and the staff lovely and helpful
The roof terrace with well stocked reasonably priced honesty bar is a good feature although the weather didn’t really allow us to use it
Parking was close in an underground park and one of the staff take you there on arrival and leaving

This little gem was amazing! It is steps away from the Cathedral but located on a quiet street. We had a huge and comfortable room with an updated bathroom.

The best part of this hotel is the rooftop bar. We enjoyed sitting up there, sipping wine and watching the sunset.

I thought this hotel was great value for what we paid. Although our room on the ground floor did not have an external window (there was one to a small central courtyard/space) I was very happy with it. It was spacious, clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. The real bonus was the roof top terrace which was large and well equipped with seating and lounges. I also appreciated the location. Although quite a walk from the bus / rail station it was well worth it as it was a short walk to the Mezquita and the river.

Carpe Diem is well situated 20 minutes walk from the train station on the edge of the old town and 5 minutes from the commercial centre.
I paid 79 Euro per night for a room for two which is quite expensive for a 2 star hotel, but this place is good quality. There is an honesty bar on the roof terrace, the hotel is clean and well decorated. Our room was small but fine.
One thing that disconcerted me a little was they phoned me a few days before my arrival. I was on a train and couldn’t hear what they were saying. I gather now that this was just to confirm my booking. I responded by e mail and WhatsApp but heard nothing and became worried. I then called them to check all was ok. Then the night before our arrival they called twice again leaving no message but then WhatsApping me to ask what time I was arriving.
You could see this as good customer service, but I would have preferred just e mail contact.
When we arrived reception was a bit chaotic. Maybe it was just a bad moment, but we weren’t offered any advice about our stay.
Anyway Cordoba is fantastic and this is a decent place to stay.
