Owner description: Watch tower from the eighteenth century, situated in the down town and the highest point of the city, turned today into a focal point of cultural interest. The tower has two exhibition halls, the Camera Obscura and the terrace from which you can enjoy wonderful views of CádizIts Cámara Obscura was the first one installed in Spain.

Nice option to spend afternoon and see the city from above. They have excursions in different languages, but even spanish is understandable, cause the guide shows everything very thoroughly. Pleasant view from the roof, cheap and interesting entertainment.

There are lots and lots of steps here and it was a challenge to get up them all but it was certainly worth it.
A great view of Cadiz and a very interesting introduction to the camera obscura.
It was a worth while thing to do.

Very interesting, very informative and fun to boot. The best views of Cadiz without a doubt and the Camara Obscura was amazing including an excellent presentation of a 360 degree rooftop tour of Cadiz Old Town? You have to climb up, (there's no lift), but the steps are quite shallow which makes it easy to climb and with exhibitions in the floors on the way up there's a chance to rest if you need to. 6 euro each to get in but reduced to 4 each if you have bought and show your City Sightseeing bus Ticket.

I went up the Torre Tavira after spending almost 15 days in Cadiz. Definitely worth a visit! When I saw the
magnificent view of the City I wished I did it before. Get your cameras ready, it is very tempting to record that moment. We stayed up there almost for an hour, half an hour inside the tower; learning about the history of the city & enjoying the camera obscura, and the other half photographing the beautiful porous texture of the city.
There is an entrance fee, but it is worth it.

Climb the tower and enjoy the view of Cadiz from the top. The camera obscura was fun to see but for us it was looking at the view from the top of the tower.
