Just returned from a 1 week stay with my wife and 6-month baby girl (her first holiday!). Estepona is a fabulous destination - still very Spanish and not overly touristy. The apartment made the trip all the better. It is in an older apartment block but the the apartment itself has been redecorated and refurnished in a modern style - it has everything you could want and more. The owners provided a travel cot (and mattress) and high-chair for our little one which was great. There is a double and twin room which was great as it meant we had a 'spare room' as such - great for all the luggage bringing a little one on holidays entails! The large balcony was great - got sun between about 4pm and 7pm but nice and shaded besides - good for brekkie and lunch! TV was a fab set-up - smart TV with all Irish (RTE, TV3, TG4) and UK channels - full Sky movies and Sky sports - apps on the TV for movies (Netflix - use your own login) and music. Underground car park and private parking space was ideal and secure and kept the car nice and cool! Apartment on 4th floor with lift access - lift a bit small but just fitted one person with a buggy! One thing was the access to the street on level 1 had a number of steps once outside the building - bit tricky with the buggy so we just went to the underground car park level and pushed the buggy up the car ramp instead. 2 outdoor swimming pools on the ground floor were fine (a bit cold yet!) - one was a smaller pool for kids. There are a lot of local residents in the apartment block so it's not overrun with families on holiday - the pool area was generally very quiet. For some reason, the pool rules don't allow sun loungers to be brought down to the pool area but our apartment had nice new comfy large deck chairs provided which were as good (apartment also had sun loungers out on the balcony). The apartment location is excellent - just 2-3 mins walk from Estepona Marina which has a great selection of bars and restaurants - there was a market there every Sunday also. Lovely smaller beach ('Playa del Cristo') only 5 mins walk away! There are 2 decent supermarkets close by (Supersol and Supercor [the latter had a lovely bakery section - fresh bread and great croissants every morning!]) - we did one big shop at the (very!) large Carrefour at the other end of town (you'd need a car/taxi for this though as it's 3-4km away). There is a beautiful promenade walk which is easily accessed from the marina (just go up the ramp in front Supercor supermarket and then down a steep-ish pathway towards the waterfront) and takes 15 minutes right into the old town - a very safe walk - plenty of people out walking/running and lit-up the whole way at night-time so no need for any taxis back. Our only regret was that we didn't stay for longer but we'll hopefully return to Estepona and to this apartment another time.
We had a amazing holiday thanks to this beautiful apartment being perfectly situated in walking distance to the town and a beautiful sandy beach. The apartment has everything you could possibly need including a washing machine and dishwasher! It is a very spacious apartment and the views from the large balcony look out towards the harbour. The apartment had recently been renovated and the attention to detail was suberb. Everything has been thought of. I would highly recommend this apartment and the location.
My wife and I stayed with our 2 year old son for 5 days in May. From start to finish we had great holiday. Communication with David and Laura was excellent. The apartment is 5 start with a very high end finish. Great location with bars, restaurants and great beeches just a couple of minutes walk away; yet the apartment is very quiet.
The views from the large balcony are spectacular looking over the marina with Gibraltar in the distance.
Thanks for amazing stay, we will definitely be back!
