We stayed at the Marriott Playa Andaluza May 1 - 11 2014. Everything was better than expected. The Staff was Top Notch professional. The Property was excellent as well as the rooms (2 Bdrm). Whatever we needed done on property and off was taken care of for us. We arrived without our luggage and they asked for our flight info and called the airlines (British Airlines) several times a day until they had it delivered to us. They took over the whole process of locating it and having it delivered. We asked for them to suggest a place to eat and then make reservations. We got to the restaurant, they was expecting us and the Marriott comped us a bottle of wine there. We were well taken care of, our whole time. As we were checking out I told them that we we going up to the Marriott Marbella Beach for another ten days, and they called the Marbella Beach property and told them that we were on our way there. Great service!

Room tip: Use the knowledge of the staff at the front desk. Tell them what you want and they will guide you to where and what you want.

We came here after a week in Nerja and were nervous about what's we'd get as we'd really enjoyed our stay in there. Also we're pretty picky around hotels and we're looking for something that would suit us and our 16 month old boy. Here's our summary.

Positive:
- Great rooms. Spacious, modern, very clean and child friendly.
- Fantastic pool facilities for adults and kids alike. Lots to do during the days.
- very safe and spacious environment.
- friendly and helpful staff around every corner.
- nice well maintained beach.
- good transport connections so easy from airport and for days out to surrounding towns if you want a change

Room for improvement:
- no room service
- restaurant is a little limited
- marketplace is expensive (but there are large super markets close by)
- it's a little remote for anything within walking distance

This place has everything you get with a villa (privacy, facilities, space) and all the bits you don't (cleaners, concierge, bar, restaurant). All in all a really good experience and we would use this chain again in a heart beat. Well done Marriott!

Ps. You do need a car if you come here.

Top notch hotel, these are timeshares and consist of self-catering villas, they were fully equipped, the en-suite shower with two showers was nice, big bath. Very helpful staff, plus the resort boasted 4 pools plus slide, 2 baby pools, 6 jacuzzis, gym, mini-golf and many other activities. The private beach doesn't have the best sand, but being private it isn't crowded.

Puerto Banus and Marbella are just down the road and a short walk away from the Marriott are a few irish bars and restaurants.

Would strongly recommend this to couples and families, i would like to return some day.

The rooms are comfortable, with all the amenities needed. We were happy to find that the maid service each day was included. The sauna, steam room and workout area is a treat in itself. Wee purchased the breakfast special fro the week for one payment to cover our four breakfasts buffets each morning. A great verity of English, Spanish & American breakfasts combined. Something each of us looked forward to each morning. The parking is convenient and clever, hidden under the lower level of each building. There is plenty to do at the hotel: games, volleyball, pingpong, pool, tennis, shuffleboard, swimming, beach and special daily activities. I normally wouldn't recommend beach vendors, however, you can get a good massage right there on the beach for a fantastic price! I most certainly enjoyed mine! The women doing the massages are clean cut and professional. The one thing that was inconvenient about this hotel was the Marketplace hours: 8am to 10pm. Most of the tours that you book through the hotel leave at 8am and you usually don't get back until after 10pm. Hours 7 to 11pm would be so much better.
