This resort has everything, all the facilities you could ask for, great apartments but probably what makes a stay here really special are the staff and the service they provide. From the wonderful girls in the on-site mini market, to the restaurant servers and including everyone else with whom we had contact, nobody put a foot wrong and everyone went out of their way to make us feel extra special. There are four pools - a main one, a sports pool, a heated indoor pool and a kids pool. The gym and fitness centre is well equipped. There's a crazy golf course, short tennis courts, kids playgrounds, table tennis tables, classes in everything from yoga to making paella. There's even giant chess and draughts boards with pieces. This was our ninth consecutive year here with friends and we will be back again next year.

Extraordinary establishment with a lot of activities. Extremly helpful and serviceminded staff. Peculiar, you rarley meet such friedliness in Europe. Keep up the good work !

The hotel is a kind of gated community. Fences and locked doors. Three pool areas, one inside. Free access to private beach with sunbeds. Very good gym. Minimarket on prem but somewhat high prizes. The low cost Aldi is 400 meters away. Within 15 min walk you can find 10 restaurants but a car is recommended. Garage underground, easy to move luggage to your flat and your car is not hot during sunshine days. On prem restaurant also a bit prizy and some food very good, some not .....

Five houses with flats. Large flats, a lot of space. Balcony. Very well equiped with most you can think you need, and even more.

Everything is very clean, you see staff working all the time. Very good establishment for families with kids.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and we really enjoyed. This hotel has everything we have expected (as a pool and a hot tub) and also the rooms were great. Also the seperate pools for kids and relaxing is great. If you have brought or hired a car, a perfect place to stay.

Our fifth stay has come to a close and our sixth been booked, so we obviously like it there

This year, we came later in the season and loved how the summer madness subsided with the advent of September - sorry, am in a lyrical mood l. The more bearable but still warm temperatures made daytime excursions possible, and I frequently had the whole glorious pool to myself.

My Mum was recovering from a period of ill health and staff went above and beyond to make her feel good.

The only weak part remains the on-site restaurant. Waiters like Hallim (?), Vincent and Oxana do their utmost to make the experience pleasant but the food on offer does little to inspire, very much unlike the brilliant Antony Wolfson’s Rock ‘n’ Roll show, which was as fantastic as ever, and the one reason why we had dinner there at all. I’m fully aware of the irony: usually, the musical entertainment is what puts you off patronising a place, in this case it’s its saving grace.

We stayed here for 7 nights as a couple in a Studio, the studio units are essentially a hotel room with the addition of a kitchenette. The room was small but adequate for our needs as a couple, the room included a king bed, dining table & chairs, kitchenette (fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, Nespresso machine plus crockery & cutlery), there was also a balcony also equipped with a table for 2. The en-suite consisted of a shower over the bathtub. Our studio was located in the Huelva building and was unit number 3209.

As Marriott Vacation Club owners this was the first time we had stayed in a Studio at Playa Andaluza, and it was clear why the resort inform you prior to arrival that it is in fact a small unit. Compared to the Studio units at other Marriott Vacation Club properties we have seen in the USA & the Caribbean the units at Playa Andaluza are much smaller. We had planned all along that we would just have breakfast in our studio, which was very pleasant on the balcony each morning. We made up sandwiches each day to take to the pool for lunch, the kitchenette has enough facilities to enable you to do so. The fact that there is an Aldi supermarket within a 5 minute walk means that getting fresh bread daily is easy along with other shopping needs. We found for the first time ever in the 6 or 7 times we have stayed at Playa Andaluza that we hardly used on the on-site MarketPlace, the Aldi opening a couple of years ago must have really impacted the MarketPlace.

We had exchanged into Playa Andaluza from our home Marriott Vacation Club resort in Paris.

We love this resort and for the first time visited without our sons, this meant that we spent most of our days by the main pool. Which is realistically the place for adults, as no balls, etc are allowed in the pool. During our stay during the last week in August we never struggled to get a sunbed, there were always sunbeds available. We have always found that this is a major plus point of the resort, it is so refreshing to come to the pool after sleeping in and a leisurely breakfast at around 11:00 to get a sunbed next to the pool itself.

We used the bar each day during the afternoon Happy Hour for cocktails, we ate at the Solera Restaurant for our first night as we had flown to Malaga on an early morning flight. The food in the restaurant was good, much improved since our last visit in 2015. We know as Marriott Vacation Club owners that the bar & restaurant prices are expensive, but we felt that we had paid a reasonable price for our meal.

It was great to arrive at the resort at 14:00 and be able to check straight into our unit, this meant even after unpacking etc and a quick trip to stock the fridge we managed to spend a good few hours at the pool on our arrival day. Also we were able to stay on resort until the evening on our leaving day after checking out at 10:00. This meant we managed to get nearly 8 days of sun during a 7 night stay!

Apart from using the main pool, the only other facilities we used were the Alegria Theatre on evening to watch the acrobatic show. This was good, but the seating was very hard and distracted from the excellent performance in this outdoor theatre.

As owners we attended the usual Sales Presentation at the Sales Centre, the one hour presentation was informal and relaxed with no pressure. The incentive of a room credit was well received and covered our bar bill for the week!

Playa Andaluza is a great resort, with 3 different outdoor pools and pool areas, along with an indoor pool. The grounds are immaculately kept, beautifully maintained and planted. The beach which is outside isn’t the best, but is very pleasant for walking along.

Playa Andaluza is located midway between Marbella and Estepona, there are however many many restaurants located within walking distance. We ate 3 evenings in Marbella, plus 3 evenings in the local area, along with one evening on resort.

We love Playa Andaluza and look forward to returning in February 2019, the only negative I could mention is the uncomfortable bench seats at the outdoor theatre!
