This was my first hostel experience in Spain and I was extremely impressed! The room we had was huge for what we paid, and it didn't look like a hostel room at all, it was adorably decorated and had plenty of space for unpacking. We even had our own fridge! They gave us towels and shampoo, which I hadn't expected. The beds were pretty comfy and the blankets were really warm. Everything was really clean when we arrived and the street is pretty out of the way so I didn't find it noisy at all.
There is a kitchen upstairs with free tea and coffee and a fridge/cupboards in case you want to buy food and cook. This area too was extremely clean.
The location is great, about 5-10 minutes walk to the center, restaurants and bars. And only about a 20 minute walk to the beach.
The guy who checked us in was really friendly and really helpful, he spent about 20 minutes sat down with us and a map telling us all the places to see, best days to do stuff and giving ideas for day trips. He even looked up a few things for us on the computer just to give us some tips.
I will absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Malaga and I highly recommend it to anyone! The door also has a security gate that is closed late at night (though you get a key for it) and no matter how late we got in, there was usually someone at reception. This definitely gave the place a bit of a safe feel, which for two women traveling was very reassuring.
