This was my second stay at this hotel and I have a totally different experience.. Last time I came by taxi late at night, went straight to bed and took a cab to the hotel. All in all, an OK experience... This time my travels worked out that I arrived at 17:00.
First Location.. It's hidden in an industrial backwash behind a scuzzy gas station. The HIGH security fence surrounding the property made me feel less secure. Many have already commented on the 24€ taxi ride to the hotel... You can get half way across Manhattan for less.
Second Personnel.. Check in was OK. Not friendly and welcoming, but OK. However while trying to decide what to order at the bar, the bar keep walked away - twice. We also had the pleasure of her being our waitress in the restaurant. While the food came out and the dishes disappeared as required, the task seemed to be overly onerous.
Third Restaurant.. We chose from one Ribera wine. It was a very poor 2012 for 15€! And here I was becoming to like Spanish wines. I had a fish casserole that reminded of my high school cafeteria from the last century. Totally in edible. I left it.
Fourth Internet.. Now this is minor as I was on true vacation and not my typical work while you travel style... It was ponderously slow and would inexplicably stop for minutes at a time... With a bit of swearing and patience, it would start again...
In summary, the next trip through the Malaga airport... I'll look for a different hotel!
