We have just returned from a five day stay. Welcoming reception staff who allowed us to have our room at 11-30 am. Whilst some 4 km from the city centre, there is public transport in the next street. A taxi to/from the centre will cost approx. €6.50. There is ample free parking around the hotel. Our front room on the 3rd floor had lovely beach/sea views, but no balcony and although separated by a main road, the excellent window double glazing blocked out 95% of the traffic noise. The room itself was excellent, comfortable king size double bed, and plenty of wardrobe space.Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had difficulties cpnnecting to the free WIFI in the room because of poor signal. When mentioned at reception we were offered a change of room, but in the end we stayed. The public areas did not appear to be heated, fine in the summer months perhaps but a tad fresh in December. The buffet breakfast was adequate, we have had better though. Overall, recommended for its kind and helpful staff and its location which is less than 15 minutes from the airport.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room, they face south an have large floor to ceiling windows.

Chose hotel for its beach front location and close proximity to the airport as we wanted a chill-out week in the sun. We walked into Malaga town a few times along the promenade which took about 30 minutes. Beach gorgeous and lots of lovely fish restaurants beachfront and nearby. Rooms nice and modern and cleaned well each day and there are a good supply of toiletries in the bathroom. No balconies though. A great hotel just for use as a base as there are no facilities whatsoever and couldn't even offer us a courtesy room to use before our night flight and so we had to get changed in the toilets. Had problems on the first day with the air-con and internet in the room, but maintenance appeared within the hour. Staff speak very little english and waiting staff none at all. Breakfast was very nice with a good assortment but dirty plates are not removed from the table as you finish and we ended up having to remove them ourselves. This prevented us from eating breakfast outside on a couple of mornings because every table was dirty which was a shame.

Dear guest,

We are pleased to know that you stay with us has in general been a pleasant one, and we would like to deeply thank you for you comments and insights.  Without a doubt comments like yours motivate us to continue working hard so that the experience of our guests in our hotels will be pleasant and enjoyable.  We would only like to clarify that our restaurant staff do have a basic level of English for communicating with guests, and the difficulties you had were more than likely a unique situation.  In regards to the clearing away of tables, we would like to note that during peak times, when many guests are having breakfast at the same time, it is quite possible that situations like the one you mention occur. We apologize and will try to improve this aspect of our service.

We would love to be able to welcome you again soon to our establishments.

Warmest regards.

We stayed at the Vincci Malaga for 1 night after a very late arrival at Malaga airport at the start of our holiday. It was easy to find from the airport and there was free on-street parking which was very welcome in the early hours of the morning. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable, very clean and modern. The buffet breakfast had a huge amount of choice. I don't usually go for chain hotels, but for a 1 night stay, the Vincci Malaga provided exactly what we needed.

When i travel in Malaga I always stay at Vincci. Is nice, clean, rooms and reception are well designed. The position is fantastic for an holiday trip, it's just in front of the sea, but also for work, it's at 5 mins from the airport and next to the most important highways that drives outside. A little bit far from the center, you can't walk there..but bikes rental is free. Breakfast is well fournished. The bar service could be improved.

On the last day of our honeymoon we checked into the Vincci Malaga on a so called "Romantic Getaway" promotion, which included a sea-view room, bottle of Cava and breakfast for two.

Upon check-in the reception staff was preoccupied. We took our key and headed to our room on the 6th floor. The hotel is across a major street, on the opposite side of which are a line of buildings, a boardwalk and then the beach. So a sea view room at this place simply means that you can see some corner of the sea from the window if you are standing next to it, but it's not exactly a panorama. That was our first disappointment. The second was the bed. We requested a double when booking, but ended up with two twins next to each other with a particularly awkward headboard which was designed to fit only one of the beds.

On the surface things look tidy and stylish, everything, including the towels is monogramed and branded... but rather than spending money on brand stickers to tape up the toilet paper roll, the hotel chain should have spent a little more on quality. The floors are a cheap laminate, the furniture MDF, the TV is smaller than my desktop computer screen (where there is plenty of space on the wall to upsize), the phone is a basic black unit with no presets or markings (had to go through the hotel info booklet to find the number for reception, 3002!?!)

I called down to enquire about the bottle of Cava and was told it would be delivered at midnight! Why on Earth does that seem like an appropriate time? We specified that we were checking out at 7:30am to go to the airport. When I requested to have it brought up at 8pm before we headed out for dinner, the receptionist kept insisting on a later time, at 9 or so... awkward. I finally convinced her that we would like it at 8:00 and at 8:20pm my husband had to call down to enquire as to it's whereabouts. It arrived at 8:35 and we rushed through it to make our reservation on time.

The last disappointment was our breakfast. The breakfast buffet opening hours had recently changed from 7:00 to 7:30. The receptionist offered to compensate by having the kitchen make us 'picnic boxes'. We picked these up on our way out. This equivalent of a €12/pp breakfast consisted of a bottle of water, a bottle of juice, an orange, an apple, a package of biscuits and a tired looking sandwich with a slice of processed ham and a slice of processed cheese between to pieces of white toast bread. My vegetarian version had an extra orange instead of the sandwich. We ended up buying breakfast at the airport.

The moral of this story: it's a fine enough place to sleep, but don't bother with the extras - go with the basic room rate instead of paying an extra €40 for something you won't have time to enjoy and something you won't want to eat. Parking is an extra €13 +tax.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the elevator on the front end of the building if you want full wall windows...
