We really like staying in this comfy little hostal just 10 minutes walk from all the best bars and restaurants in the city of Málaga. Esthér is a great host who speaks excellent English. Check out Muelle Uno whilst you visit.

We took a bus from malaga airport to the property which took us about 50 mins and one change. The villa is in a quiet neighborhood and was itself nicely decorated from inside. We were given double bed room on 2nd floor. There was no elevator but stairs were beautifully decorated with many plants. The room had cupboard, small LCD TV, table/chair. The attached bathhroom was small but very clean.
The villa is 10min walk to Plaza de la Marced (where there are many place to eat), 5 mins from Plaza le Marced to Alcazaba (which has free entry on Sunday) and 5 mins from Alcazaba entrance to Malaga Cathedral and Picaso museum (free after 6pm). From cathedral, Calle Marquese is just few minutes away which is main shopping street.
IMHO> One to one and half day is enough to visit Malaga

Staying in Villa Ailicia gives you the feeling to briefly really live Málaga, you immediately feel at home. Friendly, uncomplicated welcome by the hostess. Nicely decorated house. Very pleasant to have breakfast outside. Only two small remarks ... I think we had room 9, it would be good to somehow fix the back of the bed to the wall, as it makes a lot of noise every time someone moves in bed, causing many wake ups during the night. Second small remark, I personnally feel much more comfortable with white instead of coloured towels. I have no doubt the towels where clean, but white, even though more boring, gives a better hygienic feeling. This B&B is defenitely recommendable!

Room Tip: From what i see all are nice, not all with bathroom, though.

I would like to share my experiences that my husband and I had during our stay in Villa Alicia Guest house in Malaga, Spain.

This is an older house but well maintained and comfortable. You can use the kitchen to do your own cooking if you don't want to eat out. The 2 sisters Ava and Esther are very helpful. Ava even helped me carry my luggage up to the third floor to our room. The room is not big but enough, no air con, but it cools down a lot after sunset. We even needed a blanket to sleep.

They were willing to store our 2 carry on luggage for a few days while we headed to another city before returning back there to stay for 2 more nights.

The location is great, just a 15 minute walk to the tourist attractions, Alcazaba ,Coracha, Gibraifaro, Basilica of Santa Maria Victoria and the new port (good restaurant). 5 more minute walk will be at Cathedral Malaga. We just walked around to see most of the things that we planned to see.

We highly recommend this place for a relaxing wonderful stay.

Nice and cozy place, in a quiet residential neighbourhoud close to Malaga's city centre. The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. This is definitely good value for money. Regretfully, the wifi coverage was not very good.

We booked into this place to begin our tour of Andalusia. We were pleased with it so booked a further two nights for the end of the trip. We received a warm welcome with helpful advice about the best way to get about the city. The accommodation was basic but clean and there was a kitchen for guests to use (we didn't). The hotel is in a quiet street a 10 - 15 minute walk from town.
On our return, we were disappointed by the room that we'd been allocated. We wanted a private bathroom but in fact the facilities were simply behind a glass screen in the bedroom. Not every relationship is ready for the sharing of the sight, sounds and smells of the ablutions! For my part, I'd no more put a toilet in a bedroom than I would put a bed in a toilet. To be fair to the management they explained that they were full that night and they offered to change us over the following day, but we decided to live with it because we didn't want the fuss of packing, unpacking and packing again.

Room Tip: Room 8 was what we had on our first night. Room 9 was the eccentric en suite idea.

I just got back from my stay at Villa Alicia in Malaga and it lived up to my expectations. I decided to stay here after reading good reviews and generally liking the look of the place, with its bohemian Moroccan style. Me and my mother stayed here for three nights and i think that was the right amount of time to stay.

When we arrived we were quite surprised at having to wait for ten minutes to even be acknowledged (while two of the staff argued over some difficulty on the computer) However this was soon forgotten as soon as we were greeted because the staff were extremely helpful in helping us plan our stay.

We had looked on trip advisor and found a few things we wanted to do and see and the staff helped locate all of these things on a map for us. We had a very authentic trip due to the good recommendations by the staff ,and managed to fit lots in.

After the second day we realised how great the location of villa Alicia really is. Located in the old part of the city just 10 minutes away from the main square where all the good restaurants are and only a 20 minute walk from a very nice sandy beach, which was unexpected. The area is great also because it is thriving without being particularly touristy- and there were mostly locals sitting outside the restaurants etc.

The hotel is very simple but very nice with outside seating where you can eat your breakfast, also very simple. There is also a fully equipped kitchen that you can use but the restaurants and cafe's in the area are so lovely and so reasonable you probably wont even need to use it!!

Didn't come across any accommodation/area that i would recommend more than here!

Room Tip: Top bedrooms have en suite, some on the ground floor didn't seem to.
