We ate here on a very busy Saturday afternoon for lunch. This was definitely the best paella in Malaga. The location is great and the coffee is wonderful. Many people stop for a coffee after lunch hours.

On our recent trip to Málaga, The Café Central was where we had breakfast most days. It was never busy whilst we were there and it is located in Plaza Constitucion so is ideal for people watching whilst eating.
Our breakfast of choice was a typical Spanish breakfast of Churros y Chocalate. There are a great selection of coffees too to choose from.
Service was excellent and the friendly waiters were pleased with our attempts at ordering in Spanish.

The good thing about this restaurant which is placed right in the middle of Malaga is that if you like to have a hot meal before 8 PM when the spanish start thinking about dinner, the kitchen is open all day. Good cakes too. For the location and quality: very good and not expensive, about 10 euros not including drinks.

I might sound a bit snobbish now, but I don't like to be served a mini bottle of Freixenet when ordering a glass of cava (although I know Freixenet qualifies as cava). Just to make clear we started off on the wrong foot ... Service was good, and the location close to perfect. And I liked my paella valenciana. There are better finds in the area, however.

The manager convinced us to get a certain platter that had many different meats but since we're very picky about what we eat (no red meat no pork) and only some seafood items, he let us mix and match. There were a variety of sauces to choose from and we had the special "made in Malaga" sweet red wine sauce with raisins. It's one of the best sauces I've ever had! He sold us on a delicious desert of custard and cinnamon. He wasn't overpowering, but very convincing and sweet. We had a lovely long dinner and recommend it to everyone.
