“Perfect if you're travelling alone and want to meet people!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

I had such an awesome time! I was going to stay only two nights, but extended my stay as it was such a good atmosphere. And Malaga is a charming city too!

Hostel is clean, modern and great value for money. Great, central location, close to many attractions and nice, little coffee shops, bars and restaurants around!

Rooms were clean and with en suite bathroom (I stayed in 8 bed mixed dorm and then in a 6 bed for an extra night I have extended for; 6 bed was much, much bigger!). Large underbed lockers. You will need your own padlock or one can be purchased from the reception for 3 Euros.

There are two kitchens for guests to use and breakfast is available to purchase in the mornings (freshly cooked).

Now, the most important part- activities! Different thing every night: tapas night, bbq, drinking games and others. Then going out. Every single night. During the day: 11.45 walking city tour each weekday.

Wifi access everywhere, some PCs for guests to use. Nice communal areas.

Staff- super friendly and approachable. Particularly Chris, Alden and Ramon! They made me first welcome from the first night (I arrived late after a delayed flight).

I've seen some reviews that nearly put me off that it's too noisy there etc. I'd not say so, staff were making sure noise was kept down not to disturb the neighbours and also no loud music was played after midnight (in communal areas).

What else can I say? I loved it. No good for business and families, but for those of you travelling alone or with a group of friends - perfect option if you're open to meet new people!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are slightly smaller and can seem a bit darker than others (8 bed mixed dorms). I...

Great hostel to party and to meet new people!! It’s nailing its reputation as a party-hostel totally, there are always different activities from Monday to Saturday night (pub crawls, drinking games, tapas tour…) therefore you should consider staying somewhere else if you prefer a quiet place.
There is a common room with free usable PC’s, Internet and Wifi is also for free. You can sit outside at a courtyard to talk to people, start the evening or just eating. Freshly made breakfast (3€ and delicious) and dinner (depends on the evening activity) can be bought at the hostel or you can cook for yourself in one of the two kitchens. There is also a public terrace bar and as a guest from the hostel you can get the drinks a little bit cheaper.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, it’s also very international so there shouldn’t be any communication problems. The rooms are big and spacious (I stayed in a 10 bed room), also very tasteful furnished and very clean. They have air conditioning and heating, fridge, lockable drawers and a bathroom with a shower tub. The hostel itself is well situated in the city centre, near Plaza de la Constitución. It’s just located in a smaller street, so it’s better to check the way before the arrival. The beach is also within walking distance.
I was there in winter, but can’t wait for the summer to return to the hostel :)

This is a beautiful hostel. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms brand new. I was travelling in winter so it was hard enough to meet people at the hostel because there was no real common room where you could sit in comfort and talk with other guests. The courtyard is a great place for warm weather but unusable in cold weather making the place feel more like a hotel.

Dorms about twice the size of the other one, with 2 less people in them. Padlockable storage under beds. Metal staircase from reception up to rooms + rooftop terrace. Free internet in lobby. Staff made an effort at group socialising

This hostel was tidy, clean and relatively easy to find. The price was fair and everything seemed as advertised, however the hostel seemed to lack a real atmosphere.

The tapas buffet was good quality food but slightly overpriced.

The hostel staff were adequate, however we were a little irritated by the over-bearing party host who tried a little to hard, and haggled us to go out so he could teach us how to party. Unfortunately this tainted our experience as we were unable to relax before our travel continued.

Comfortable hostel, lacking atmosphere.

it's a really fun place to sleep in when solo travel/backpacking. They have activities everyday, so you can get to know people while traveling. it's very young environment, the rooms are nice and big. (i took the 4 ppl and it was great room) very clean. the staff are very nice.
it's just very noisy at night, so i won't recommend for people who aren't in the party mood.

Overall a good price to value ratio. Location is very close to the center, although it's located in a narrow street and finding it is a bit tricky. We stayed in a 8 bed room. Rooms are big enough, mattresses are average quality. There are some noise problems, since the building has a club on a terrace - but you probably don't plan to sleep a lot. Our room had it's own bathroom, which was rather in poor condition (not sure if they are cleaned everyday). Breakfast is not included in price, you can purchase it for the extra 3€. Quality of breakfast was incredibly good (really tasty!) just the potions were a bit small (you might need to buy 2 breakfasts :P). There were some afternoon and evening activities, some for reasonable price, other a bit pricey.

In case of next visit of Malaga I'm planning to stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in 2nd floor. Less noise from the club (3rd floor rooms) or from common room which...
