A last minute impulse saw us stay here last weekend

The good :
The size of the rooms - spacious in a great way, basically a suite, with a large well appointed bathroom
The location - just over the bridge and easy stroll (even in August) to the old town, and 25 minutes walk to the beaches.
The staff - very efficient and friendly.

The bad :
Noisy air-conditioning in the room, sounded like a coffee machine every 30 minutes or so - it was a tossup between a cool nights sleep or a good nights sleep
The Bar: had little or no atmosphere the two evenings we went up there for a night-cap. Even though it was advertised as opening until 2am, it was clear (particularly on one of the nights) that you weren't welcome much beyond 0130 (having just arrived) when the staff started putting the unoccupied cushions/tables away

Room Tip: stay away from the pool side of the hotel on the 5th floor - a lot of noise from people on the way t...

Stayed here the night before taking a cruise from Malaga, good location for seeing the town and 20 euros to port, rooftop pool lovely place to relax after a days sightseeing. Somehow when we left the hotel we left behind some items of clothing, a phone and £200 cash in the room, when we got back to Malaga from the cruise we went back to the hotel where every item was returned to us!

Generally well maintained hotel with good vibes. We had a very nice and comfortable stay. You should go there. Very good professionals at the reception. The bartenders on the roof terrace, although friendly are not sharp in serving customers.
The hotel is located at a reasonable walking distance (10 min. if you know the way a bit) from Alcazar and old center. There is a parking right behind the hotel, although you have the drive 4 blocks from the hotel entrance to get there because all the one-way traffic. Parking is 12 Euro/day which is cheaper than the parking in front of the hotel.
Nice reception and communal spaces but the really nice features are the huge, marble-tiled bathrooms and the roof-terrace with swimming-pool. From the really chill lounge terrace you have a good view over the good part of Malaga (which is actually quite ugly), with a dedicated bar. Did I mention the swimming-pool? Actually it’s not: with its size of 3X5 meters and 1,10 M depth it’s hardly suitable for swimming but fine to get refreshed and play with the kids. By the way: don’t think about bringing you bicyle to this terrace, because there is a sign that cycling is strictly forbidden, along with eating apples near the pool .
Hint for eating nearby: going right from the hotel entrance about 500 meters along the Calle de los Marmoles, corner calle Ibn Gabirol we ate tapas at the restaurant Los Racimes (you'll recognize it sooner from the big blue and white advertisements (Mariscos, pescados Carnes). We had a very nice dinner including calamaritos and such and drinks for 40 Euro with 4 people.

Recently stayed 3 nights at Malaga Centro. Loved the position very close to the old town. Staff very helpful and all the hotel is very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great having the rooftop pool and a nice place to sit in the evenings either before or after going out. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for all tastes
The rooms are very good and well furnished, but getting tired looking. Apart from that great stay and we will go back as a frequent visitor to Malaga

This place has some things happening, big bedrooms and bathrooms, comfey beds and good check in. The pool on the roof is fab with great views over Malaga - and a good use of space. The breakfast was a bit hit and miss - not bad place.

Just returned from 3 day trip to Malaga and stayed at the Malaga Centro Hotel. Very good hotel with breakfast, which offered a great choice from scrambled eggs to cereals and more. Roof top pool and bar with a fab view. Rooms spotless and comfortable beds. Great staff and always had a smile. Easy walk out the hotel to the town centre, Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: We had rooms 122 and 124 with twin beds and faced the front. Had a small balcony. 124 was the bigger...
