Went here for New Years Eve dinner. Overpriced with over bright lighting and very middle of the road food. The staff tried hard but it was a disappointing evening.

Friends had mentioned this restaurant to me and I had been meaning to try it for a while. It's a little off the beaten track but we eventually found it. Very nicely decorated, large outdoor terrace and 2 floors inside. We had plates of Cured Iberico ham and Manchego cheese to start, very simple choices but when they are good they can't be beat and these were good. A Chuleton and a solomillo were our main courses and Azpilicueta Rioja was the wine. Service was great, We arrived late even by local standards but we never felf rushed and enjoyed an after dinner drink. Good selection of vodkas and rums in the bar. Great lunch.

Gorgeous food- we had chateaubriand which was chargrilled and had been rested well as it was soft and pink inside with no blood seeping out- absolutely gorgeous!skinny fries and a pepper and onion salad and bearnaise sauce ( bit gloopy but beautiful flavour). We had brilliant friendly service from the waiter-who was very smiley and genuine (not like the waitresses in their sister restaurant -Reserva Del Olivo who rushed us, looked over our heads when we were saying what we wanted and walked off mid sentence as I told her what wine we would like). La Reserva 12 has a different atmosphere-much friendlier service by all the staff.
Easy , clear menu to choose from.
This restaurant is definitely on our list every time we come back to Malaga now - and I'm sure Id choose chateaubriand again.
