“Wished I'd found this hotel before”

Really Good value hotel in the centre of Malaga and very close to the local bus station (2 minute walk) which is why i booked this hotel, got a brilliant deal from the hotels own website (Sercotel) they are a large Spanish Chain, I got 10% discount for using the internet with free late check out and an extra 5% for signing up to their email, so a room for three, inclcuding buffet breakfast was only £55.
Room was a bit of a squeeze withthe three beds, but the bathroom was huge ans seperate from the main room by a door and corridor.
The room was clean and the beds really comfortable and the room had a balcony. The room must have been well sound roofed because there were seberal families with small children staying on the same floor, but we didnt hear a thing, I didnt need my trusty earplugs at all.
Very convenient to find lots of restaurants and tapas bars nearby. i love Malaga, its stylish but friendly.
The hotel is close to the tourist bus, which is good, but expensive at 18 euros each, look on the malaga transport website the number 35 bus will get you up the hill to the castke for about 1.30 euros.
Breakfast was Buffet style, good choice and plenty of it. The only downside was the stairs down to the restaurant might cause a problem for people with mobility problems

Room Tip: the higher floors may have better views and get the sun

Summary: it is a good hotel and I have no complain about it considering the price. But I know you can find better in Malaga for the same range of price. If you get a lower than average market price, book it, it's a good hotel that I recommend. If you find better for the same price, try another hotel !!

things to know: we stayed 2 nights in the hotel for about 50 EUR for double

plus:
+ : close to centre and harbour (but need easily 10-15 min walk to everywhere. It's not really center from main city touristic and shopping areas)
+ : clean
+ : not too expensive but not cheap

minus:
- : not updated hotel, but well maintened
- : not so cheap but worth its price, but not more! Book only if you get a lower price than average
- : in prostitute area but ok, no unsafe feelings

We've arrived to the hotel very late, it was after 1 AM, yet the receptionist greeted us with a warm smile, gave us all the info (my husband thought he should ask about directions to the center at that late hour). Room was very basic, but clean and the wifi was working perfectly.
Very close to the centre and just a 15 minute walk to Malaga train station.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A hotel that lives up to it's three stars. Not a luxurious hotel, but sparklingly clean rooms, that are cleaned spotless every day. The staff is friendly and helpful, and most of them speak an English that's sufficient for your needs on a vacation. You have free access to internet an a printer in the lobby, which turned out quite helpful for us.

Stayed one night here in February after a cock up with the booking at our original hotel. Good central location, nice sized clean rooms. Ours had a lovely view over roof tops to the sea. Breakfast was basic but very edible. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Free Wi-Fi was a nice unexpected bonus too.

Malaga is a fantastic city and this hotel would be an ideal base to explore it.

We used this hotel as a homebase to explore the Costa Del Sol area. The hotel was about a 5-10 minute walk from the pick up point of our tours (Julia Travel booked via Viatar). Hotel was clean centrally located and best of all inexpensive. Rooms offered free Wi-Fi and included breakfest (7:30 - 10:30). From the airport it was 19 Euro cab fare. Receptionists were nice and spoke enough English to get by. Overall a good inexpensive option for a homebase.(If you book tours out of Malagra, be prepared for a 3 hour bus ride to Gibraltar and Morrocco as the tour picks up people from addtional locations. ) Hotel did a great job in helping me retrieve a camera I left on the tour bus.

Room Tip: Try and get room on one of the upper floors as it will be quieter.
