Entrance in pedestrian precinct off main thoroughfare.Shops and places of historic interest within walking distance.Tourist Office 3mins walk away at the port. Reception efficient and make an effort to meet any special requests. Staff speak some English but do appreciate the traveller also making an effort to speak their language! Breakfast included in price is ample. Most rooms have just been refurbished. Rooms on higher floor(8 floors) and to front have best views.

My wife, daughter and myself had a five night stay here from 14th Feb.

The hotel lived up to all the previous reviews that we read here on Trip Advisor. Clean, friendly staff, good relaxed atmosphere, breakfast was fine - we did not have lunch or dinner in the hotel, but from what I saw the food looked great.

The location was perfectly central with a good choice of restaurants and shops nearby. The Must see locations are all within a few hundred metres too, with the Cathedral only just behind the hotel.

Other nearby attractions are the Picasso museum, the Alcazaba fort and the Gibralfaro Castle all within walking distance.

I also enjoyed a stroll through the Parque de Málaga with it's exotic range of shrubs and trees from all over the world.

As we were there before the summer the town felt relaxed and un-crowded and I recommend Malaga as an ideal city to visit before the crowds arrive. It was easy to get a table in all restaurants!

Best food was at the Al Yamal, Moroccan restaurant, again within easy walking distance fo the Don Curro hotel.

I would stay again and therefore would recommend the hotel to friends.

I stayed at the Don Curro for 2 nights and I was really happy with the location. It's right in the centre and close to all amenities. The service was very good and the reception staff all spoke very good English. Our room was lovely, very clean and spacious. I stayed in February which can be quite cold in the evenings but the heating was fantastic and heated the room up very quickly. The bed was extremely comfortable with 2 pillows! There is a mini bar in the room but with no price list so I didn't dare use anything as I've been stung by this in the past!
The breakfast was the usual continental buffet consisting of cereals, bread, ham and cheese, with fresh coffee and juices. Just enough to keep you going until lunch time.
The only fault I had with the hotel was the noise. The doors were very heavy and slammed shut as soon as you let go, which woke me every time.
If I was going to return to Malaga I would definitely use this hotel again!

I've stayed at the Don Curro several times before boarding a cruise ship. Last time I hosted a large "tapas" cocktail party in the hotel's private party/event room for 45 ship guests ~it was a fun evening and the "tapas" were outstanding! Several tables of delicious foods ~and the wines and cocktails, flowed.
The location of the hotel is a perfect spot ~in Old Town and within walking distance of all the sights and shops.
I always enjoy seeing Jesus and Carlos at the front desk ~~sooo helpful!

We stayed at this hotel over a long weekend and found it to be very good. It is in an excellent location for the shops and restaurants, and only a 10 or 15 minute walk from the beach and the castle.
The staff on reception were very efficient and professional without being overly friendly. The breakfast was not bad at all, no complaints. The waiter remembered my request for hot water from the first morning and subsequently even brought it to me without me needing to ask him.
Overall I think it is a good place to stay, and there is a lovely restaurant called El Trillo just round the corner. Lovely food and great staff/atmosphere.

The best part of this hotel - Location - convenient to everything. The staff was helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast was continental, the same every day but all we needed to start the day. We were three in our room and it worked out OK. It was noisy in street at night and the walls must be paper thin but not so terrible as to complain about it. We had New Year's Eve dinner at the hotel. It was a lovely setup and nice service but the food was not so memorable. How about adding a clock?
