“Decent hotel, great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2012

Location excellent, close to the cathedral and main shopping streets with lots going on very close by in the evening.
Rooms fine, beds comfortable and room and bathroom an ok size. Breakfast ok.
Reception not the freindliest, but efficient. I would have no problems staying there again.

We stayed here as part of a tour. Position was perfect for being close to everything.pedestrian mall, beach and promenade, cathedral. Rooms very clean and comfortable though on the small side.
Staff were prompt in helping us with the safe. Breakfast was better than average for a 3 star hotel. TV only had spanish or dubbed shows. Gladly recommend.

We have stayed at Don Curro in September 2011. We chose the location in the first place, as It was advertised, for the central location. But when we arrived we were thrilled by the position, we thought that is central but no so well positioned. The rooms are very comfortable, the personal nice, the breakfast is typical - English breakfast, but various. The natural orange juice was to pay - 1.60 eur - a glass, I was disappointed a little, considering Spain the country of oranges, but it wasn't a reason not to appreciate the hotel. The area is very secure, 5 minutes from the leisure area, terraces, restaurants, cathedral. The thing that I really enjoyed was that the hotel has it's own terrace in the center of the town. We were going there to have breakfast, the orange juice was delicious, the coffee and the snacks gorgeous. The terrace was full, people having breakfast, reading newspapers, meeting before going to work. The trip was amazing and our staying was improved by the quality of the hotel.

Stayed 5 nights here in August. Rooms are o;k., basic but very clean. Breakfast was sufficient. Location is excellent. Just one complaint: reception staff is not very friendly or helpful. That's really a pity, because otherwise the hotel would be perfect to spend a few days in Malaga, a very attractive city!

Stayed in June 2012, 10 years since my first stay there, many of the staff are the same, a good sign indeed. They stored my cycle in the cellar, accessed from the alleyway outside, they never once complained when I requested it, which was several times a day! Great reception and security staff, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice, large and comfortable rooms with safe and a great breakfast buffet although, nitpicking, if busy then you can have a wait for a table. Considering the cost and location then I don't think this hotel can be beaten in Malaga, sure you can pay a little less but you'll also receive a good deal less.

We stayed here 3 nights in August 2012. Staff were very helpful, rooms were fine, bit basic but spotless clean with complementary chocolates :-) Main attractions were literally few steps away, the local beach was appx. 1km, 15 min walk, or 2 stops by bus (1,2 euro). The hotel even provided beach towels. Breakfast was super with loads of breads/confectionary, warm food, fresh fruit etc. I will be happy to stay here again!

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors might have better city/sea view

Right in the middle of town within 5 mins of the Picasso museum. Helpful staff. Good car parking. Rooms fine if not spectacular. Breakfast good and plenty of it. Our only complaint was we had problems getting to the hotel by car as the road was blocked by a bollard. This went down when we called the hotel.
