Great location on the edge of the old center. Lots of eating places and shops next door and within short walking distance. Nice place to stay. Hotel met the expectations and was quiet for the location.

Spending holidays in Malaga,we choose this hotel. Location- cannot wish better, clean, helpful staff (on reception everybody was speaking English, which is not so often in Spain), nice breakfast, included in price of the room. Room was big enough for two persons, with bath tub. Nice bonus was beach towels. I would like to recommend this hotel for everyone!

There are many nice hotels to be found in Malaga city but the location of the Don Curro is hard to beat. The official rating is a three star one and I woud imagine looking at the facilities this would be correct. However, 'stars' do not tell all! We arrived at the bottom of the ten or so steps at the entrance to the hotel and were immediately greeted by a porter to help with the bags. Check in was quick, friendly and efficient. I had requested a triple room located on a high floor and that is exactly what I recieved. Our room was on the eight floor with magnificient views of the catherdral from one window and a panoramic vista of the city from the other. I have seen other reviews complaining of the view from lower rooms which look into a central area with pipes etc running up the walls and I did see this. So a tip would be to ask for a room located on the upper levels. The room was perfectly adequate for the three beds and the bathroom was huge and well appointed with the usual toiletries. It was spotlessly clean and was kept that way over our six day stay. The air conditioning worked very well and was very welcome with temperatures hitting forty degrees! The one thing we did miss was a pool but the hotel do offer free towels if you are going to the beach which I thought was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable and the TV provided the usual CNN, BBC World News.... channels The decor, for some may seem a little old fashioned but if you like the polished wood effect you will, like us, love it! The bar doubles as the breakfast room but this is not a modern chain hotel which has been purpose built. The location is wonderfull, just around the corner to the right from the bottom of Calle Larios (the main shopping street in Malaga) and to the left the Cathedral and the horse and cart rides. It felt like being a part of the old town and we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff deserve a special mention as everyone was very friendly and helpful and any time I had to go to reception for information or a request it was always dealt with professionally with a friendly manner. They were all also very smartly dressed. Breakfast was included in the rate, which was a complete bargain, and consisted of the usual cold continenal type items with a hot egg dish. Quite suffucient ot start the day off. The gesture of giving us a couple of extra hours on our last day due to a late flight was gratefully accepted and appreciated as the hotel was full for the Feria. So...great staff, nice big clean room, great views and fab location all at a bargain price. We shall be back!

Room Tip: The higher the better Specific rooms at the back will give you fabulous views of the Catherdral and...

Large rooms, well appointed, includes free breakfast and wifi that works, Very comfortable rooms with large bathrooms. Hotel is situated in a perfect location, close to the port, beaches, shopping and some of the best restaurants the Malaga Centro has to offer. If renting a car, hotel offers parking you will be charged for the service and expect a 20 minute wait for the car. Overall, a very good hotel.

Ideally situated in the old town, the bus stop from the airport is just around the corner. We stayed here for two nights to enable us to explore the city before moving on to our holiday destination. Very clean accommodation , good service and the room was adequate. The only fault was the window overlooked the internal void, making the room feel rather closed in! The air con, worked perfectly and this was indeed very welcoming as the outside temp was 34 deg! Wifi good. Breakfast very satisfactory with all the usual offerings of a continental breakfast. A brilliant peaceful nights sleep, very comfortable. All in all an excellent choice of Hotel. brilliant location and would definitely stay here again. But perhaps next time we would request window overlooking the outside of the Hotel! Tip, use the bus service from the airport it is so cheap and door to door service!

Room Tip: Choose an outside facing room.

Warm welcome on arrival, friendly valet came to park our car. Checking in was quick & efficient.
The room was a good size modern, light, airy & spotless. The bathroom was also a decent size fully tiled with good lighting.
The bed & pillows were very comfortable so a great nights sleep was had by all. The hotel was busy but the room was quiet without noise from other rooms/guests.
Breakfast was very nice indeed with a good selection of hot & cold selections all buffet style.
This hotel is of a really good standard & it's situation is excellent to access the shops & fabulous tapas bars in Malaga. The staff here were very friendly. We really were impressed with the hotel & we will stay here again without hesitation & also recommend it to friends.

Great hotel on a quite side street in Malaga Spain. This hotel was right around the corner from the main strip and easy access to central bus lines. We stayed here 2 nights as the first part of our 3 week journey in spain. The Hotel staff were kind and tried to assist where they could, they gave us smaller bills for our large euro and directions to the castle around the corner. We took a hike up to the castle on our last day but were too late, missed the last tour by 3 minutes!

Over all a good hotel, clean, friendly, and good aircondiition inside the rooms. this is key during the summer months in Spain. The weather was great and we loved the food. the beach is a short distance down the road, you could walk it or take the bus for 1,3 euro ea. We used bus #1 for a straight shot to the train station for our next city.
