This hotel is in the perfect position, close proximity to discount parking and great value.
The port is close by, the main shopping and restaurant areas are across the road.
It is on a bus route if that is needed.

Malaga is a brilliant city, very Spanish and not touristy, has a fabulous beach and loads of interesting bars, sights, streets, market and restaurants. The hotel Venecia is ideal for sampling these on a break in Malaga. The bus from the airport takes 25mins and a couple of stops before the terminus you get off and the hotel is in front of you, brilliant, no dragging suitcases around. Hotel is clean, smart, helpful receptionists, room superb, massive and the air con worked great. Did'nt have the breakfast so could'ent comment but it is available. It is really handy for all the sights, it is on a busy main road but was'nt noisy in the hotel. Easy to book on the internet and great value. Would stay again no problem.

Stayed one night on the 10th June 2014 before early flight from Malaga. Really well placed to explore Malaga as its right where you need to be. We had room 209 which is at the rear with no view at all but we were only there one night so didn't matter. Room was clean, good size bathroom which was also clean, air con which worked. Receptionist on check in was efficient and spoke English well. Receptionist later was same - fluent English - and booked our taxi for 5.00am with no problem she also said the fare should be 20 to 25 euro at that time of day and it was 23 euro so don't think we were fleeced!. Taxi arrived dead on time as well - there is big taxi rank the other side of the plaza but wanted to be sure at that time of day but needn't have worried. In all a good hotel for a good price - didn't use the cafeteria as we were away before it opened. Plaza café opposite is good for lunch - 5 euro for tapas platter for two people and great waiters!

Room Tip: may be noisy at the front as looks over busy road but view is better.

We stayed here for a night in May 2014. It was our first hotel throughout our 11 days in Andalucia, and fortunately for us, it only got better from here on.

Let's start with the good:
- The staff at reception was very helpful. The woman who checked us in spoke English very well which we found helpful. She offered to make copies of our passports should we want them, and answered all our questions with enthusiasm and interest.
- The location can't be beat if you want to be close to everything. The bus from the airport drops you off right in front of the hotel, and just about all the top attractions in Malaga are a 5-10 minute walk from here. There are also plenty of bars, restaurants, and good breakfast places nearby too.

The not-so-good:
- We couldn't figure out how to get the air conditioning to work. The remote for the split AC unit in the room wouldn't work.
- There was no phone in the room, so we couldn't call and ask either.
- We had to sleep with the windows open for this reason, and here's where the central location proved to be a bit of a bother: The noise levels at night were significant.
- Because we had the windows open, and there isn't a screen door, we ended up waking up to mosquito bites.

Now of course, all of this could have been avoided if the AC worked. Had we been staying more than a night, I might have gone down to the front desk for help, and we could have resolved this, resulting in a 4-star review. As it stands though, I can only give 3-stars with the stipulation that if I were to get a similarly attractive deal, I might stay here again..

Situated near the harbour, the city centre and having easy airport bus access for journey to and from the airport.
Good no frills small hotel. Cleaning and bed changes daily. Free Wi-F and air-conditioning. Breakfast frugal but good quality. At our time of stay the bathroom had a 'wiff' in the air so you may need the window leaving open although the weather was very hot while we were visiting.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's about 20minutes walk to the main train and bus station if you want to take the opportunity to visit Seville and other places ( 5 hour round trip).
The Valencia is Ideal for city breaks and can recommend Malaga which has a wide variation in attractions to suit all ages.

Had noticed this hotel sign from a previous visit and seeing that could get a reasonable rate stayed overnight. Had a comfortable and clean room with nothing wanting even the wifi worked really well in the room. I liked being able to take some breakfast in the ground floor cafeteria which frankly was one of the best that I have come across. Out of the cafe side door is the bike hire shop Malaga Bike Tours (see the reviews on TA) and so would suit those wanting an easy get away on a bike ! The staff were all very kind and I would stay again. I visited when the weather was pleasant and not too hot and did switch on the wall A C just for a bit of a breeze. I had a quiet room 202.

This is a good hotel, although a bit kitsch. Location is excellent, especially during the Semana Santa, when the processions take place right in front of it, on Alameda Principal. The Cercanias Train Station (going to Torremolinos and Fuengirola) is 5 mins away, from which you can take the train to the Airport (20 mins - €1.60 one way!!!).
However, it is noisy... our windows didn't shut properly, so it was difficult to fall asleep. Also, our air con didn't work, so we had to keep our windows open until we went to bed, which let a few mosquitoes in... Overall, the worst sleep we've had in Spain, but the location was great and the reception staff helpful and polite.
