The staff were very friendly and helpful and had perfect english. I got a very good rate which surprised me as I was a single traveller, I got a double bed a comfortable size room, which was spotless. The shower had really good pressure. The location is very convenient. I toured the whole city by foot from this location, the bus and train station are only a stones throw away from the hotel too. The room had air conditioning which was essential. There wasn't much selection of food in hotel but there are many hotels and cafes close by where you can eat. It was a little noisy by night but I find this typical in a city centre hotel, so maybe bring earplugs. Overall a good experience.

Don Paco is at the budget end of the market but is most definitely 'quality' budget. Rooms, while small, are not of the tiny variety and have a good shower/bathroom, The decor is functional but there is a small courtyard which is a nice touch. The hotel is spotlessly clean and front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The location is very good with a walk of little more than five minutes taking into the centre of town. A breakfast is available but we did not try it so cannot comment.
If you want cheap, clean and no frills in a good location then this is for you.

Room Tip: Those around the courtyard are quieter than those onto the street but it is a quiet place.

This is a fairly average 3* hotel in Malaga. Its location is great though, 10 minute walk to the historical centre, and 5 minutes from the train and bus stations (easily walkable).
Rooms very average really, just what you would expect, but no complaints.
Breakfast was a bit poor (packeted croissant) and bad coffee but was included.
Not a bad place for a short stay in Malaga.

Central location of the property was the only reason that my friends booked a room in this hotel for our two days and three night stay. But, the hotel is superb in every term. Starting with the staff members, who were the most humble people in the world, I have ever met. They never refused for any services and always greeted us with smile. Next comes the accommodation- the rooms, very well designed, clean and equipped with all the necessary things. Bed was quite comfortable and big. I slept well in the night. All in all a nice place in the city. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Don Paco at the end of a cruise before flying out of Malaga, the room was booked as part of a package through a travel agent. The hotel was dark, dated and to be honest 'creepy'! Hotel room had no natural daylight and walls very thin (the man in the next room could have shared our room as we could hear everything he said and did!). Hotel info shows a bar and a place to have a bite to eat. The bar is an extension of the reception area which was closed and the only food available to purchase was through a Pizza delivery leaflet left in the room.Breakfast was a bread roll, croissant, jam & a cup of tea. We did look on the internet once we had checked in as the Don Paco was so disappointing and there were other better hotels in area for the same price but in the end we decided to stay as it was only for one night. Staff could have been a bit more cheerful but I supposes working in such a dark old place must be depressing! The nearby railway station did have lots of restaurants and shops but it was only by chance that we found it. It is nearer than walking back in to the town at night especially as it was a Sunday and we weren't sure if any restaurants would be open in the evening.Malaga is lovely place but the hotel was awful would not recommend it.

My husband and I retired last year and we decided to have a few days in Malaga
We loved Malaga and the weather was good. However the only good thing about the hotel was that it was very near the main train station
The receptionists were unwelcoming and never smiled,
The lights in the breakfast room were switched off when no one was in there despite the time being within there breakfast hours (7.30-11.00am).
The hair dryer in bathroom was broken leaving the wire exposed from the plastic covering ( dangerous?).
The room was tiny and when we were having breakfast a maintenance worker was using an angle grinder the other side of the dining room which was very LOUD and intrusive.
We would not stay there again.

Used the Don Paco for a stopover before flying out of Malaga. Excellent location a stones throw from the station. Rooms perfectly good, well cleaned, bathroom and shower excellent. Maybe a bit dated but excellent for the price.

The big plus was the staff. We arrived to find our booking had been cancelled due to Dizzygoat.com, who we booked through. (NOTE TO ANYONE READING: AVOID DIZZYGOAT IF THE WEBSITE GETS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN).

The staff were extremely apologetic, (even though not their fault), and went to a lot of trouble to get documentation together to prove they hadn't been paid by dizzygoat, so we could claim the money back from the credit card company. They even did me a large discount on the room.

I'll certainly use them again.

Room Tip: We got an inside room, (no external window). Very quiet and an excellent nights sleep, Good air con...
