What can I say but Food paradise on earth, the market traders are great fun and very friendly, always willing to pose for a photo with their produce.
The market is split into three sections, Fish, meat/deli, vegetables, the displays are like works of art which are as fresh as can be.
There are some nice little kiosk tapas and coffee bars for a break between shopping and filming, the prices seem very reasonable.
A must visit when in Malaga

The market is very much worth a visit. It is important to get there in the morning as they start to pack away after about 1-00pm. There is an abundance of fish and local produce stalls. The displays are breatht-aking. Locals flock into here to buy food for the evening meal.

The Mercado Central de Atarazanas has very good fruit of all kinds. I usually like to buy golden delicious apples here because it is the best place in the city to buy it, and it has the best prices. The location is close to downtown, so it is very convenient. I always look at the large stained glass window at the back of the market that shows the history of the city.

Walked around Malaga and found the market. It is authentic, local, and non-touristy. Got almonds and raisins for today as the market was closing. Going back again tomorrow. A must when visiting Malaga.

Food markets are a passion with me, I visit them everywhere I go. But some are better then others, and the art nouveau market hall in Malaga is one of the best. It must take the stall holders hours every morning to put up their mouth-watering and beautiful displays of every kind of fruit and vegetables, fish and seafood, cheeses and charcuterie, meats and spices. There is practically nothing in terms of food that cannot be bought here. Everything is fresh and delicious, and the vendors are friendly and courteous, they take time to give you real service, something that has become rare these days. You want to buy all that you see here.
