“Good but not amazing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

Decided to go for an overnight trip to Malaga as it is such a gorgeous city. We were very keen to have a look at the regenerated port area so went for a walk there in the afternoon. It was very busy being a gorgeous sunny day in semana Santa, loads of Spanish families out enjoying themselves. The building style is stunning and there are loads of things like Segway hire, port cruises, children's rides etc. the restaurants are disappointing though, apart from a couple of fairly upmarket restaurants, the rest are just a long row of restaurant chain outlets and pretty much the same with the shops. I think there has been a real missed opportunity here to showcase the best of Spanish style and cuisine.

Muelle 1 is the place to be and do! It's fun and fantastic, very well situated and spread out. It is quite spacious. There are many shops for everyone, many restaurants (Mexican, Indian, Tapas, Italian, Seafood). It is safe and offers great views of sailboats and sunsets. Not to be missed while visiting Malaga.

“Great Place to Visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

Muelle Uno is a great place to visit. First of all it is by the port, so you can see many of the ships at anchor there and you can see the water. There are also many stores where you can browse and see interesting consumer items. There is also a wide variety of restaurants, most of them with terraces, so you can soak up some sun as you take your meal or snack. There is also a large restroom.

“absolutely not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 November 2013

this is by far and away the best aspect of Malaga in recent years. The whole port area is now so much more accessible and from the bus station on the port it is a mere two min walk away with easy access for all.I thoroughly recommend kaleido malaga port which is a bar restaurant in the middle of the walkway facing the harbour, they have the best cake and coffee for only 3 euros per person even when seated outside on the terrace for which we had thought would be far far more having such a wonderful view service and quality is the best aspect of this bar.The shops are great and its not even necessary to walk all the way down to El corte ingles anymore as the shops are of such good variety and standard even on a cloudy slightly rainy day you cant fail to be impressed with this area and if the big ships are in even better.its well worth a walk if rather long ish out to the area south of Muelle uno called Portuaria to get a different aspect of the city and to see the larger cruise liners berthed alongside.theres also a bus if the walks too long on the way back to the city which runs very regularly.
