We had enjoyed a copious lunch elsewhere, and wanted just a beer and some tapas as a late evening snack. The waiter advised us about grilled fish like sardines and hake, and it was exactly what we needed. Quick service with a smile, good food, fairly priced. And as another reviewer said, the bread and olives were on the bill, but 2 euro is not exactly robbery. But we weren't asked if we cared for it. One of the positives is it's location: only one flower seller and no musicians, which is a positive contrast with the more centrally located restaurants.

We had a very good and fair priced family lunch which we really enjoyed. The head waiter spoke well English and helped us to a super tapas dinner. Well done!

It is a nice little bar with nice waiters and really good food. The Waiters were really fast and actually nice, but in the end they made us pay for the bread and the olives - probably because we were outed as "tourists".
I can recommend the food and the place because both were quiet good. Unfortunately it is always a bad feeling if they let you pay more because of your nationality (this is what it actually is). So in the end I must say that I was a little disappointed.

We stumbled across this lovely local tapas bar on our final day in Spain, and it was a wonderful last meal. Carlos came out to give us his personal recommendations and we felt really looked after, but not in a touristy way; all the other customers were Spanish and we were never given the hard sell, just brilliant, delicious and value for money food.
We only got home last night but I felt compelled to write about this place as it was such a lovely find. The fish tapas we had was absolutely delicious. I am 6 months pregnant but never felt worried about the quality or hygiene of the food. Please go and try it for yourselves, you won't regret it.

Have visited Carlos for the last five visits to Malaga. It is definitely worth searching for.. (Actually quite easy.. Walk up Calle Larios, the main shopping street, at the top turn left, take the second left and its on your right.. Easy) Carlos does indeed give you his daily recommendations and you will not be disappointed.. Although this is for true Spaniards you will be welcomed with open arms and even learn a few new words in the process.. There are many tapas bars in Malaga but few are even close to matching this little gem of a place.. A truly wonderful eating experience ...
