“Centrally located in Malaga”
Reviewed 18 August 2013

If you land Malaga Airport, the easiest option to get to hotel is via train. When you get out of train station (Malaga Centre), the hotel is literally just opposite you, across the road.

Check-in was quick and staff at the reception was friendly. Room size is okay and it's very clean. Some other reviewers mentioned that the room was small but I found it's not that bad.

Wifi signal was a bit poor maybe it's due to room facing. Breakfast was decent.

Overall great stay for a night or two, price is competitive as well.

Nice hotel, the room was clean and tidy, a decent size for a single traveller. All the staff were helpful and breakfast good value.

It is located close to other hotels, but did feel a little on the edge of the city rather than city centre - that said, access is fantastic from the airport. It is minutes from the underground, direct from the airport for under 2 Euros. The direct bus from the airport, is a little further away - say 5 mins and costs 3 Euros.

A good hotel for sightseeing or shopping in Malaga and the surrounding area, but it is a good 20/30 minute walk to the nearest beach. Probably a good hotel for anyone heading to Malaga to watch football too!

Hotel is only a short walk from the train station. Greated by a friendly receptionist who gave us a map and pointed out places of interest. Our room was very clean and located just as we asked. The hotel is small but everywhere was spotless. This hotel is well located for tavernas and sights. There is a very small bar area near reception where you can relax and purchase reasonablby priced drinks. Breakfast would be a little expensive if purchased separately and consisted of a cold buffet with scrambled eggs and undercooked bacon, which is the only fault I found. Book direct with the hotel and ask for a late check out. Would recommend you visit the town of Malaga, do not miss the cathedral and stay at this hotel.

We were visiting Malaga to check out the old town and the Picasso and Carmen Thyssen museums - chose the Astoria as a conveniently located base and stayed for three nights. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet due to the double glazing.

It's close to a number of good small tavernas and the centre of old town is an easy ten minute stroll away. The hotel has a preferential rate with a car park close by - just make sure the staff give you the correct voucher when you check out.

If driving to the hotel, best check out the street details on google as many are one way and it's not at all intuitive how to get there.

Easy to access from the train station and a car park is about 60m from the entrance should you need it. Just ask at reception.
The rooms are small, we had 3 beds, but still comfortable for sleeping and a shower and a change of clothes.
One can walk to the centre of the city or go by bus to where ever you wish to go.
The hotel is clean and Lydia at reception was an absolute star. We did not eat breakfast there, but there are lots of small little restaurants one can eat.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back, it is more quiet there.

We staid 3 nights at the hotel while visiting the Alhambra, Grenada, Ronda and Jerez.
The location is great, the neighborhood is quite and the beach, port and city center are very nearby. We used the nearby parking, which was great although having to leave your car keys over there is a little scary at first. The rooms are not very big, but clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly so we would definitely go back there on a next trip.
