I would have rated this hotel a 4 as it is in a very good location, just a few minutes walk from the center of town and all the bus lines. Good price, good breakfast buffet, and a very quiet location.
BUT, while we were there someone took my wife's credit card from the room safe and charged EUR600 on it. They then returned the card to the safe. The only thing we noticed was that day when we returned to the hotel we could not open the safe - the front desk opened it for us (very easy it seems if you have the reset code). We were a little suspicious, but nothing was missing. It was only after we returned home 3 weeks later that we saw the charge on the credit card statement.
( I know someone may say that her card could have been cloned at a restaurant etc., but we only took this card as a back-up. It was either in a money belt when traveling, or locked in the room safe. It was never used for a transaction all the time we were in Spain.)

Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. The location is just perfect, since the historical town is located just few minutes walk on the Avenida. Quiet, nice location in spite of the fact that it is almost in the city centre.

Myself and a few friends stayed the Eurostars Astoria Hotel in Malaga Spain, I booked it via the internet at a very competive price for 3 of us at 65 Euros. The staff were helpful and booked us another Eurostars Hotel for the next night, which was handy as we were travelling around Spain, the service for breakfast in the morning was without fault. I have stay in a few Spanish Hotels, but the Eurostars Hoetls are by far the best and reasonably priced. The Hotel was only a few minutes from the station, the room was clean and spacious, the Air Con, was cool, as it was 40 degress outside, no traffic noise, as we were near a river, Malaga itsekf is a great place to stay, with lots going on, so you could do a lot worse than check in this Eurostar Hotel, Great, No problems here.

We flew into Malaga, got the train from the airport for 1.20euro!! Bargain.( To get to the train platform you have to follow directions and yes you do go through a multi story car park! Then get the lift. About 4 stops to Malaga Renf, pleasant and quick journey. NOTE: Malaga Centro is closed and this is opposite the hotel.
Tourist info and free maps at Malaga Renf. 10min walk up one street to hotel. Front desk very polite and helpful, the room (although small) was very clean and well presented and very comfortable. Great value for money. The Beach was lovely and quite quiet. We went there twice even though it was a good 25min walk it was worth it.
We had a great time, wish we could have stayed longer than 2nts/3days.!

Just back from a 3 night stay with my 16 yr old daughter,no complaints!! Take the No 19 bus from the airport - takes almost 30 mins and costs 1euro 10, get off the bus just after the big El Corte Ingles store on the left ,the hotel is sign posted and only a 5 min walk. We were on the 7th floor and had a lovely little balcony . The room was immaculate, with wooden flooring and a well equipted bathroom- the jacuzzi bath was a bonus!! The reception guys were very helpful and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was 8 euros but we preferred the nearby cafes. We were very pleased with this hotel - very central for bus station etc and Malaga is a lovely city. The red city tour bus was a good way to see everything - 16 euros for a 24hr ticket.

Stayed 3 nights 26/3 - 29/3 and was very impressed with the hotel. Rooms were very clean, maid came in every day. reception staff were helpful and friendly. Paid 150 Euros for the 3 nights which works out to £25 each, for my girlfriend and I. Would hate to think what I'd get for that in England !! It's about a 10 minute walk into town, it;s about 30 mins on the No 19 bus from the airport which is about 1.25 Euro each. Don't think you would want to sleep with the window open, as there is a main road about 500 metres away but the double glazing nullifies almost all the noise and in addition there is air conditioning. Would definitely recommend.
