“Lovely Tapas”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Great place to spend the last evening of a holiday! The staff were very welcoming and helpful when choosing both the food and wine. The tapas was of a very high standard and amazingly well priced. I'm looking forward to returning on my next visit to Andalucía. Thank you Yolanda and all your crew!

“Fantastic food, brilliant service!”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

This was our 2nd trip to Malaga, and we had to come back for more. We were not disappointed. The service was outstanding. Albano was attentive, friendly and informative, and introduced us to some new dishes. He sat down next to son to take the order, which he enjoyed. The chicken croquettes were fantastic, but so was the wild boar stew and the desserts. Great atmosphere. We ended back there another night a few days later, immediately following the flamenco show at Kelipe which is next door. I'll be sure to visit again on my next trip. Thanks to the staff and chefs for a great experience.

“A special treat”
Reviewed 27 April 2014 via mobile

Visited here on our first night in Malaga and it was expensive but we thought worth every cent. The menu is not extensive but catered for meat, fish and vegetarian eaters. We were fortunate enough to be sat next to the open kitchen which was entertaining in itself and every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. You wouldn't eat here every night but for a special occasion it lived up to expectation.

“Brilliant Food, Wonderful Welcoming Staff”
Reviewed 24 April 2014 via mobile

On our last trip to the beautiful city of Malaga we stumbled upon El Meson de Cervantes for our evening meal. Back 2 months later we looked forward to more original tapas and we were not disappointed. Food as always was top top quality prepared by the three chefs in the open kitchen just near to where you sit. Yolanda and the girls make you feel so much at home with excellent and very friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant for a top quality, authentic night of great food and wonderful atmosphere.

“Best food we had in Andalusia!”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Recently, our family travelled to Andalusia. We travelled to Malaga, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, and Ronda. Hands down the best meal we had on this trip was at El Meson de Cervantes! We arrived at the restaurant and had not made reservations so the nice gentleman...later to find out the owner...walked us over to their other restaurant location where his wife ran this restaurant. Both of these people know how to treat people...so friendly! The food was incredibly fresh and the people were so friendly...not in a "hey, you're a tourist, so i need to be nice" way"...very nice and authentic people. Also, the food had a modern approach to it..not in the way of skimping on portions and using foams but in preparing it fresh and making it interesting. You know after so much tapas everything tends to blend together and you can only eat so much fried food. This restaurant took what is fresh and delicious in southern Spain and prepared it the way it should be! Thanks so much to Albano for serving us with a smile and making the experience unforgettable.
