We stayed at the Atarazanas for a night, and it was an excellent hotel centrally located and a short walk to the train station and connection to the airport and cities inland. The staff were friendly, and the room was modern, very clean, and with all you needed. Breakfast was included and served a mixture of continental and hot buffet. To conclude, a great hotel to a very reasonable price!

The hotel was well designed, and perfectly located, a great walk from the ocean, the Picasso museum, and just across from the market. The staff went out of their way to help with finding places, reserving tickets, and conveying messages. A very good experience!

Room Tip: If you don't mind being in the front, ask for a room with a balcony. Adds great charm.

My wife and I stayed at the Atarazanas for a belated anniversary break - and it proved to be an excellent find!
Centrally located opposite the old market and a five minute walk from both the train station and the centre of town and no problem to find, these were massive pluses! The staff were friendly from the off and helped us out with a guide map - plus they understood my Spanish!
The room was pleasantly decorated, quite modern with all the usual hotel goodies, such as shower gel, sewing kit and so on - the shower was suprisingly excellent as I wasn't expecting a powerful shower looking at it! Slight downside was that the binmen do come at the crack of dawn but do remember YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY!!!! A lot of people have complained about this on Trip Advisor but you would get this anywhere in any major city. Alternatively walk out of your hotel and have the bins flowing over like 1970's Britain!!! We could also hear next door snore so I pity the poor man's wife....
Breakfast was good serving a mixture of continental and hot buffet breakfast set us up well for the day - the hotel also appeared to do a decently priced lunch as it was always full with workers of all types at lunchtime!
To conclude, a great little hotel!

Room Tip: If you don't like your binmen noisy, ask for a room on a higher floor! Also take advantage of th...

We stayed here for one night in late March. We arrived at the airport and got the train to Malaga central from which the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk on the flat. The hotel is opposite the central market and perfectly positioned for shops, monuments, museums and parks. The room was fresh, comfortable and relatively quiet. It's an old building that has been converted into a hotel, and it is well run, with friendly staff and a lift. At €62 the room was good value and the Atarazanas will be our first choice if we stay in Malaga again.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and found it extremely noisy in the room overlooking the street. The room was very small and our double bed was against the wall on one side so one person had to crawl in from the bottom! The bed was also very uncomfortable & dipped in the middle. The location of the hotel was close to he market and train station which was good but overall I would not consider this hotel a 3 star.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room overlooking the noisy street

This is a lovely hotel right beside the old market in Malaga city. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spotless and if you have a room like us you will have a little balcony with louvre shutters and interior wooden shutters.

The breakfast is't the most exciting and the room at the back can be a bit noisy due to motorbike parking and a manhole cover which everyone seemed to drive over.

That said, the rest more than make up for these slight annoyances.

Booked this after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Really close to everything, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. We didn't have breakfast as we prefer to find our own favourites. We had a room on the 4th floor looking out onto the street. It was noisy at times, but it's a city, so that's all part of it. Check out ' La Cueva' bar/restaurant around the corner on Calle Martinez, popular with locals, amazing wines and complimentary tapas (specialises in local meats/hams, great staff.

Room Tip: If you want a quoted room, book an internal facing room, these are quite dark though.
