This is the second time I've stayed over in this hotel when I've an early flight from Malaga, as it's a couple of minutes walk to the Airport bus stop on Alameda Principal. Very convenient to walk into town for Malaga's excellent tapas, good big Corte Ingles not too far. About 15-20 minutes walk from Bus and Train Statiions.
Good clean rooms with TV and wi-fi, breakfast was included and was handy just before an early trip to airport and flight.

I stayed in this hotel due to transit for a few days. So I decided checking in to a centrally located hotel - and did the right thing!
The hotel is unlike large business hotels welcoming and staff is very helpful.
The hotel is quietly located, but still within few minutes of the shopping center. Even the mainstation is reachable by foot.

Our thanks to previous Atarazanas reviewers your comments improved the quality of our stay and I would like to add the following . Check the accuracy of the contents of the mini-bar when you get to your room , reception staff change everyday all helpful except one , I had problems getting a nil balance receipt on check-out as I had booked through an agency , neither could I retrieve my credit card details which although we had previously paid in full , the hotel insisted on for security reasons , oddly a small charge was made against my card but was later refunded , most staff speak english , your electronic door key also operates the electrics in your room by a slot on the internal wall , there are no english TV or radio channels , neither are there any tea making facilities , you are expected to get these from machines in the bar which taste disgusting , the bar and breakfast area is quite dead and unappealing , some breakfast items are left out all day and covered with cloths , I suggest you go out for all food but if not the Hotel is next door to a mini supermarket , there are no travel adaptors in the room for english 3 pin plugs , your room choice is bright and noisy streetside or quiet and dim facing an internal courtyard , rooms are clean tidy and nicely appointed , the doors are secure and all rooms have a good sized safe , also operated by the door key , the hotel is ideally situated to all points of interest , ask reception for a free city map , most are within walking distance if able bodied , turn right on exiting the hotel walk straight and the second junction down is the start of Larios more or less Malagas High St two minutes from the hotel , use this landmark to orientate yourself as it is central to everywhere . The side streets of Larios provide many places to eat good local food but if not on each side of Larios facing the sea is a Mac Donalds and a Beefeater , in the mid morning look out cafe selling hot coffee and churros , a kind of enlongated doughnut . Also opposite the end of Larios near the harbour is the Touriste Information Office . In Spain many points of interest are closed on a Monday and sometimes open and free on a Sunday . The wine museum ( city map point 44 ) is free for return visits if you keep your receipt , the initial entrance fee includes two tastings of moscatel ( dessert wine to the english ) chilled and sweet either 100% or lightened with Chardonnay . I would suggest the area to the North of the museum is not for night-time viewing but the cathedral and anywhere south of it is very safe at anytime as is most of Spain . As stated elsewhere the hotel is close to the airport and train station . A quick note regarding Malaga train station , it is actually called Maria Zambrano and is about 5 euro by taxi to your hotel . We hope you enjoy your stay in Malaga and the Atarazanas , Adios and saloodh

Not sure quite why its called a boutique hotel, but this hotel whilst basic, is friendly and good value for money. We asked for a quiet room, and got one overlooking the central courtyard area - which meant the room was a bit dark, but definitely nice and quiet. Room is clean, functional, with modern lcd tv. Bathroom a bit dated, but clean. If you get breakfast included in the rate, then take it, but I wouldn't pay extra for it. Take your own tea bags though, the selection seemed only to include herbal ones when we were there. Great location, close to shopping streets. For a budget trip it is perfect.

A clean, comfortable hotel only 5 mins from the pedestrianised Larios shopping street with all the bars/restaurants round about. Therefore, also well siuated for the Cathedral, Picasso Museum, Alcazaba, Gibralfaro and port. In the other direction from the centre you are only 5 mins over the river (yes, it is actually known as a river!) from El Corte Inglés and FNAC shopping centre. The train and bus stations are also over this side. A 20 min walk 'upstream' will take you to La Roselada, home of Málaga football clum. Tickets for the matches can be bought at the souvenir shop here.
On the whole reception staff were excellent. Rooms good. Excellent size bath/shower room.Decent size, flat screen TVs in room. Don't go looking for too many english channels though. Disappointed with breakfast. Poor choice, poor service but reasonable surroundings. Hotel bar has restricted opening hours, think it closed at 10.00pm. Of course, with all the bars close by this is not a great problem. Building work going on at the back of the hotel so noisy early in the morning.
There is a taxi rank about 50m along going towards the centre.
I would stay here again because of its situation, it's clean and comfortable.
