This hotel is located at the very top of a hill with a spectacular view of the city. It is run by two brothers. One runs the hotel, the other is the chef of their excellent restaurant. The views fromt he restaurant are very romantic and the food is great with very professional presentation. 20 minutes by car from the airport.

beautiful hotel, staff is AMAZINGLY helpful, always there to meet your needs. It IS a bit out of town, which to me was ok, since I just wanted to lounge and relax. There is a bus/taxi at the bottom of a STEEP hill, but is managable. Candace the manager was so helpful with my variety of questions, and Adam was great with insights on things to do. The restaurant was adequate - I didn't think it was overpriced or anything. A nice alternative to going thru the hassle of driving into town, etc.

Great, peaceful location in a residential area overlooking the city (though not the interesting bit). Best with a car. Friendly and helpful staff. Decor and room a little tired here and there but clean and completely OK. Restaurant was pseudo gourmet type and OK, though not cheap (house wine at that price?). However, watch out, as the chef is not there for the breakfast which was an uninviting, mean, and miserable experience.

This hotel is perfect. I really LOVED staying there. Like everything has a negative thing, it was a little far from downtown, "El Centro" . The staff is very friendly and they even let me use their computer since I did not have mine.! When you get there you feel like home, might as well, the staff makes you feel at home:) We did not had a chance to visit the restaurant since all we wanted is to travel around the city of Malaga, but the restaurant seemed nice and very CLEAN. The beds are comfortable, bathroom very clean, and even have your own balcony and could see the outdoors; the lights of the city during the night. The most mportant of all is that they had a box where you could keep your important belongings safe, since some hotels charge extra money to get one. Also they care about the enviroment because they have an especial card/the room key, that when you take it out all the electricity goes out too. This beautiful hotel located in 'El Atabal', a private residency, beautiful view from your room. I even remember that the staff had a beautiful dog, a Golden Retriever and he was friendly too:D

We stayed at the hotel in July 2010 with our two kids.
Great food in the restaturant and a very nice and useful terrasse for relaxing. Quiet location far away from the noice downtown (and the terrible turist areas).
Easy to get there by own car (recommended). Room and bathroom perfectly cleaned.

My fiance and I stayed at the Villa Guadalupe just last week and we don't have enough great things to say about it!! The people working there (esp the manager who is from Canada) were extremely friendly and hospitable. The views are absolutely incredible from the restaurant terrace and from our private balcony and the rooms were simple but very clean...overall we had a wonderful experience there and would recommend it to anyone esp for a romantic getaway. The only downside is that you have to have a car as its about a 15 min drive to the city center.
