Wonderful little apartment run to the highest standard, we were very lucky to have found it. The landlady helped us book taxis (not many taxi companies in Malaga have English speaking operators, and it is almost impossible to find taxis with a child seat), told us all about the local amenities and recommended nice places to eat.
The apartment itself is very clean, has got everything you might need. The rooms are quite small (big enough to fit a bed and a wardrobe), but that didn't bother us. Powerful little fridge - keeps everything cold in hot weather.
The only downside is it is quite far away from the sea (20-25 min walk - ok downhill, but can be tiring climbing back up into the mountains in the heat, especially with a child) and also quite far away from the city centre (about 25 mins by bus). On the other hand, it's in a quiet area away from traffic, so we didn't mind being away from the city.
Very pleased, would recommend!
An easy bus ride from Malaga city but a working town with its own personality, El Palo is fun and feisty. We loved the big sweep of beach, the plethora of excellent café bars and seafood restaurants and the seasonal absence of Brits.
After a warm welcome to the apartment, the owner left us alone unless we needed her help. Perched above the town in a secluded garden, the place was very clean, small but perfectly formed, with just enough cooking facilities for a night on the porch watching the sun set over the bay. Quite magical!
