Lovely hotel, clean modern rooms, staff are very helpful and the location is superb. Even got a small pool to cool off in. Easy to walk to beach, cathedral, town and bars, and marina. Would not have believed the town is as nice as it is.

Room Tip: You can pay a little more to have a room in the old part which has balcony

This is a very nice hotel, close to the major sites and within walking distance and the shopping areas and the numerous restaurants in the area. Our room had a great view of the cathedral. A ten minute walk gets you to the Marina and beach. The rooms are spacious with large ceilings and windows and were well appointed. Bathrooms were roomy and included nice fluffy bathrobes. Breakfast, included, had a large selection but it was very crowded and not a lot of room between the tables and serving areas. The hotel is four star and similar to what you would expect in a Marriott or Hilton. This is not meant as a negative, but you could be in any city in the world and not know it except for the Spanish spoken, though this was not an issue as everyone spoke English too. They had a rooftop pool and bar but we didn’t use it. It was always crowded when we stopped by. This hotel is somewhat sterile, does not have much character, but is clean, large room, good amenities and in a great location. We would recommend this hotel on a visit to Malaga.

Hotel is next to the pedestrian plazas of Malaga...so you have a large choice of cafes/bars and restaurants moments away. The rooms are a little drab but comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed after dinner drinks on the roof top bar....great views and very nice staff. My 4 star rating is for the really bad wifi....no bandwidth....very hard to connect to basic services. If they fix that they would earn a fifth star.

We had a great stay at this hotel - very well located, close to the sea, next to the Cathedral and in the heart of restaurant land. The room was well equipped, good bathroom toiletries, bathrobe/slippers etc. My room was facing inwards towards the open central court yard - a bit of a strange arrangement but it was nice and airy. Quick mention of the pool - it is small, but OK for a quick dip if you have been sunbathing on the roof. There are two or three sunbathing areas up there by the pool on different levels. If the bar is not manned you can call down for drinks to be sent up.

This hotel is located within walking distance of most Málaga attractions. Just outside the hotel are excellent options for tapas, drinks and dining. The hotel bar and pool are situated on the terrace with beautiful views, specially at night. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is friendly. Breakfast is good but pricey, I would recommend having breakfast in the many restaurants just outside the door.

A quiet stay in the middle of the city.We had a room on the first floor on the inside of the hotel just above the outside dining area, yet never heard sound from below even when a kids party was on.Also very little noise from rooms neaby. We did not have the generally dear buffet breakfast but ate in the bar area next to dining area.A cup of coffee,a glass of orange juice, two slices of toast and two mini croissants less than five euros excellent value on bar area menu.Close to all the main attractions and brilliant staff in reception.Great views from terrace bar on roof. All in an enjoyable stay, well done to all the staff.

Was recently in Malaga for a week end break. Chose Molina Lario Hotel upon recommandation from a friend and Trip Advisor reviews. Hotel was perfectly located, a stone throw away from the harbour promenade, the cathedral and direct accsess to the charming, narrow streets of old town of Malaga. Sea, culture and good high street shopping and lots and lots of cosy restaurants and bars just outside the hotel door. Taxi stand was just opposite the street. We arrived in the evening. The welcome was ok, but nothing more. One of the two persons at the front desk were more occupied and concerned about talking to the other really, but we got our key and directions to the room. The room was nice. Normal size, clean, the design was contemporary modern, equipped with electric kettle, coffee and tea. The bathrom was spotless and well equipped. The sound proofing of the windows was fantastic. Air conditioning worked well. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace and bar with great views over the city, the cathedral, the surrounding mountains and the harbour, a great place to chill with a glass of cava or wine after a day out in the city and the surroundings. The staff was very helpful letting us store things that had to be kept cool. Next time I go back to Malaga, I will certainly try to get a room in Molina Lario!
