“Worth Every Penny”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night break in Malaga. I booked this hotel after much research into hotels in different countries as I was not sure where to take her for her birthday and after quite a bit of reading up I chose the Molina Lario hotel and I am pleased to say both my wife and I were very pleased with the hotel. The location of the hotel is great you come out of the door and turn one way and within minutes you are in the town( the cathedral is right beside the hotel) and if you turn the other way again within minutes you are by the harbour. The hotel is modern and very clean and the staff here were very helpful and pleasant.we were given a free upgrade to a double deluxe room on our arrival which was a very nice surprise and thank you for that, the room was great a nice large double bed plenty a good size room, the shower was excellent with plenty of toiletries to use all in all I would say this hotel is well worth the four stars it is given. We went up to the roof top terrace which looked nice the pool is there not a large pool but more than enough to keep cool in the hot sunny days. We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot say anything about that. we will return to Malaga which is a lovely city and will go back to the hotel no doubt about that.

Room Tip: Go for the upgrade if possible great size rooms and good beds.

Its located right in the heart of the city, next to the main cathedral in the pedestrian area.
From here you can get everywhere by foot. The airportbus stops on the main street, which is 2min walking from the hotel.
The front desk service orientation and their willingness to help could be improved.
We had without breakfast, but i'd not recomend it. Its 20€ p/P!!!

We had 2 coffees, 4 freshli squeezed orange juices and 2 sandwiches for 15€ in a coffee around the corner from the hotel.

Dear client,

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback. We are happy to know that you could enjoy of the privileged Hotel’s location. On the other hand, we would like to apologize for any unappropriated treatment of the service, we will talk directly with the department to avoid any similar situation in the future as the personal service is one of our main core politics and we are always trying to give a unique treatment to each guest. Regarding the breakfast, we set our prices based on service and local area and that our entire breakfast assortment is high quality, with seasonal products and all from the local area. This is the reason why the price might be higher than somewhere else where not the same conditions are given. We hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in the future.

Modern hotel in just the right spot. We were in a superior room. Spacious, light and quiet. The room and bathroom were well appointed. The staff at the Hotel were helpfull. The pool area is a bit small, and the rooftop bar was only open two nights a week.
Overall good value for money and I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

Must be the best located hotel in Malaga.....just minutes away from the cathedral and the historical town centre. Lovely rooftop terraces with views over Malaga. We had requested a quiet room and were lucky our wish was granted. We didn't have a view, being on the second floor but there are the terraces for that .(only slight niggle was that only one of the 3 lifts serves the second floor ).Our room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. A kettle in the room was a lovely bonus. All the staff we came across were helpful and friendly. Our only slight negative was how poor the internet connection was but other than that all was great. We would certainly stay in this hotel again.

I absolutely loved Malaga!! I cannot wait to get back to this most beautiful city. It is truly a little hidden treasure deep in the Andalusia and the hotel Molina is a wonderful part of the experience. This was stop 4 on our tour of Spain back in 2009. We arrived here from Granada on our way to meet friends in Lisbon and stayed for 3 days. I wish it had been longer. Other reviewers are correct in that the bus from the airport brings you to the bus stop directly across the street from the hotel. On that side of the street is one of best Chinese restaurants we have ever tried. Here, you must do the hop off/hop on bus in order to appreciate Malaga's size. Now the hotel: Molina is quiet and reserved in its appearance. The front desk staff are terrific and very helpful in getting whatever you need. They take a very professional approach to the way the hotel runs. The hotel itself sits on the corner of what would be called the main part of town. From here, you can walk all around Malaga. There are beautiful restaurants, churches, shops all nearby, and the Picasso museum is just a couple of blocks away. The rooms at the hotel are spacious and very clean. If you like views, you will want a room on a top floor, especially to wake up in the morning and have the view of the church with the sun just coming up, it is beautiful. The hotel also has a split rooftop where you can sit outside and take a break (order room service and relax). The rooms are equipped with all of the modern amenities to make you comfortable. Overall rating is an easy 4.

Room Tip: top floor for views.

Just spent 3 nights here with 5 others. Got the bus outside the airport for 3 euros to take us to the hotel which stopped practically opposite the hotel & you just had to cross the road. First impressions were excellent, very bright modern hotel & very welcoming reception staff - Check in was very fast & our rooms were easy to find. Lovely bright spacious rooms with plenty of wardrobe space, bathroom had all the added extras of shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers, bathrobe etc everything you would expect from a hotel like this. Roof top pool was lovely, quite small but enough space if u wanted to lye in the sun & then go for a quick dip. Location of hotel was amazing, very close to the harbour, right next to the Cathedral & all the streets with the lovely shops, bars & restaurants were right on the doorstep. Would definately return again & hope to do so in the near future.

The hotel is very nice, spacious rooms, clean, comfortable, great service. Nice bar. It is in a central location, convenient to get to all major central areas of interest, walking distance to the cathedral, museums, peer. A modern building, nice.
