“antique wifi system”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

great location with nice rooftop bars, however the rooms are small with no drawers for clothes or bedside tables for bedside water or book.wifi was generally non accessible due to the system being overloaded, with the alternative hotel computers also being unusable.breakfast was good, however the beds were very hard and uncomfortable.overall I would not recommend as it was more expensive than other better hotels.

Room Tip: go to the AC Palacio across the street, which is better in all aspects except the breakfast.

Dear client,

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback about your stay. We are sorry to hear that you did not have a comfortable stay at the Molina Lario Hotel. Regarding the rooms issue, all of them are equipped with a closet and bedside shelves but we would like you to know that we have taken note and that we pay special attention to every detail and finishing touch of the rooms and this is why we are constantly renovating and seeking for different ways to improve the image and the facilities of the hotel. In addition, we are aware of the wifi problem and it is already being taken care in order to start using a network wider range in a few weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you.

We stayed here for 4 nights in late June and used it as a base for traveling to nearby Granada and a day trip to Morocco. Loved: the location, the room appointments, the great views from the roof top pool, and the amazing service staff! We were up at 5:30 AM due to the Morocco tour. The desk staff had bag lunches prepared for our day plus happily served us delicious cappuccino's to get us started. The breakfast was quite good. What more do you need?! The hotel is set near the sea, the old town and in a huge outdoor shopping mall area. LOVED IT!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not located close to the nearby restaurants that have outdoor seating. Highe...

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel.
What an excellent location ! Lario is just lovely for many reasons...museums, the beach, the cathedral,Castillo de Gibralfaro and the port are all with in walking distance. Just remember to bring decent walking shoes for the castillo..it's a bit of a hike to get there...if you don't fancy the hike there is a bus.

Stayed here for 3 nights from 6/23 to 6/26. Reserved a superior twin room on a higher floor and stayed in room 315. Based on trip advisor room tips, I requested a room with a view of the cathedral over Molina Lario Street with a balcony. The room did have a balcony and I believe it was on Molina Lario street but it did not really have a view of the Cathedral. It was very nice though and the sound proofing was very good. The room was modern and spacious with ample closet space and had a good sized bathroom. The beds were rather firm but were still comfortable, pillows and bedding very good.

We had dinner in the restaurant our first night and it was excellent. We didn't take the buffet breakfast but ordered off the menu on our last day. We were very satisfied with the price and selection. The service from the front desk staff was also very good. Nice warm greeting upon arrival and overall friendly and helpful attitude.

Another nice feature is the roof top terrace with pool. Great views of the cathedral and the port.

As others have noted, the hotel is very well located for visiting the old town as well as the beach area. And Malaga, all I can say is WOW! So glad I included it on this trip to Spain. Lots to do and see and all the distances are very walkable, closer than they appear on the map. Charming town, great food, nice friendly people, what more can you ask for?

Wi-fi was free and worked well in the room. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended hotel in an underestimated city. Great location, smart rooms, friendly staff, bonus roof-top pool & bar. Minor gripe is that buffet breakfast layout is a bit cramped and confused - but that's being really picky. Try this palce out - you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Superior room was very comfortable & a good size.

We stayed one night after taking the train from Madrid and before moving on to Algeciraz to take the ferry to Tangiers. The hotel was lovely. The staff was very helpful. We found the location to be perfect; we were right on the edge of the older part of town where there were cobblestone streets and plenty of restaurants. We took an afternoon walk and explored the old castle and could see the waterfront. We did not need to walk far to experience the energy of the people out in the streets, bars and restaurants on a Saturday night. The hotel front desk person arranged for a taxi to take us to Algeciras the next day. For us and our short stay it was perfect.
