We spent a week in Malaga in mid April 2014. Stumbled across the Restaurant "Vermouth."
Food was outstanding..ended going back twice. Chef, named "Jorge" spoke excellent English and came out and chatted with us.His wife, Lourdes, served us.. The beef..one dish named "Prensa Iberiico" was to die for. Prices were very reasonable. Lots of Tapas to choose from too.
This place isn't fancy, just great local, food.
If you are looking for a mom and pop, local Spanish food, this place was just great. 99% of the patrons seemed to be locals, in my opinion a good sign. (Had an English menu)
Vermouth is located on a side street, about a 5 minute walk from the Corte Ingles department store and about a 7 min walk from the Malaga train station
