We stayed in Palma's apartment for 2 weeks.
It's in a fantastic location.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, with no lift, so the 4, short flights of stairs will keep you fit, if the walking around Malaga doesn't!!
The bed is unbelivably comfortable! & the blackout cover doors on the floor to ceiling window doors did their job. The bathroom is supplied with enough towels for a 2 weeks stay.
It's a fully furnished apartment, & the wi-fi was realiable. The kitchen had most things you need, including for any tea drinker, a kettle! However, if you are an oven user, you need to modify your food arrangements, as the Spanish tend to shallow fry using olive oil, more than us in the UK!
There is a washing machine too, & washing liquid is supplied, the only problem is where to hang your wet clothes, but we managed, & everything we washed dryer quickly (saved having the 2 weeks holiday clothes like a Chinese laundry at home!!)
Literally, just outside the apartment, is Casa Aranda - the home to the best Hot Chocolate & Churros, in Malaga... you can't not stay here, & not go, you'll know what time they open, if you have the windows open, as the noise level increases, this isn't a bad thing, don't let that put you off staying, & if it does annoy you & you have to shut the windows, you can still stay comfortable, by using the air-con unit. There is a TV, I think we watched 1 youth football game on it, mostly, we streamed programs on our iPad or Tablet.
If you manage to get past the Chocolate & Churros, to the right of the apartment, across the street, you will find, Mercado Central Atarazanas - the market, which sells fresh fruit & veg, fresh fish & fresh meat, daily. So no excuse to not have fresh food! There is a Supersol not far way, & a Carrefour Express on Alameda Principal, or you could venture further afield to find another supermarket to suit your needs, oh! the wonder of google!!
Venturing out to the left, & you aren't far from the Historic Centre, Calle Larios, the Port, or the beach.
Palma met us on our arrival, & came by one day, to check we were ok, after the Electricians had been outside & messed with the electric on our side of the street, & had distrubed the residents upstairs - we were fine & everything was working as it should - but it was nice of her to check on us all the same. In the apartment Palma has put together an information pack of resturants, cafes, interesting place to visit, & her contact number too.
In all, we enjoyed our stay, & will be happy to stay again, but, if you are a light sleeper, might I suggest a good pair of earplugs! The reason, the binmen come at daft o'clock at night to empty the communal bins which are in a side alley not far away... & ther not quiet! This is standard working, having mentioned it to Palma when she dropped by.
Fantastic apartment in an excellent location - above Casa Aranda, the home of the best hot chocolate and churros in Malaga. The apartment is well-equipped with a fridge, hob, microwave, the all-important kettle and air conditioning. The bed is also very comfortable. The door shutters are excellent and give a black-out effect without full black-out curtains. Great wifi and Internet connection. Everything is within easy walking distance, with a fantastic market, Mercado Central Atarazanas just round the corner. The cercanias train station, Malaga Centro Alameda is within ten minutes walk if you want to travel further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Palma is an excellent host with great communication and was very accomodating when we asked to arrive and leave outside the usual times. Both the apartment and Palma are highly recommended!
