Visited here on a balmy July evening.. We were offered a street side table and glad we did. The food here is to die for.. Our choices of fish, sweetbreads and steak were delicious. The staff were excellent without being intrusive .. It's a must visit . The prices of food and wine reflect its popularity and it's cooking.. Is it worth it ? Of course ! .... Enjoy !

In Calle Ancha, a typical Marbella Old Town narrow street with many restaurants, the Casanis Bistrot is a very nice restaurant.
With tables outside on both sides of the street, with a relaxed and stylish clientele, very attentive and energetic service, the stuff all men, with a nice buzz and very very nice innovative dishes with global influences.

The cold parmesan soup is one of the nicest things.

The dishes and portions are small, ranging between 13 and 30 euro.
Be ready to spend more than a 100 euros easily for two!

I booked in advance and its wise too as Casanis Restaurant gets very busy as its highly rated and should be in the Top Ten Restaurants in the Marbella Area.
The service is very attentive and efficient as they explain exactly whats on the specials also the ala carte menu. I choose the Foie Gras which was lovely as my wife choose the lobster salad. Then i couldn't resist the individual Beef wellington which was delightful. My wife decided to go for the Homemade ravioli filled with scallops and king prawns. The food and service is very good and i also like the webcam beaming out from the kitchen into the main walkway, there is nowhere to hid and it shows the cleanliness of the brigade and there practices. 10/10 my highlight meal of my short stay in Marbella

We have not visited Casanis for over a year and the standard has certainly been maintained or even improved.
6 of us all enjoyed our starters which ranged from prawn cocktail to a cold soup of parmesan.

The main courses were turbot, confit of duck , entrecote and were superb.

The service was attentive and professional with high quality and knowledgeable waiters.

Trying to find a good restaurant in Marbella's old centre is not an easy task. There are plenty of restaurants but all are overly touristy, with all the same dishes on their menus.
The outdoor terrace of Restaurant Casanis looked attractive and the menu looked different. We were lucky to have the last available table.
Much to my surprise there were 'croquetas belga' and 'vol au vent' on the menu. A Belgian restaurant in Marbella! The shrimp croquettes were perfect, so were the French fries that my husband had with his Argentinian sirloin. I had the baked turbot that was delicious.
Prices are higher than in the other restaurants, but the quality was perfect and it was something different at last.
Friendly and handsome waiters, good atmosphere.
