Overall this is a good restaurant, the food is fantastic, the location is perfect. Some staff are friendly but there is an arrogance about others, with La Red been nestled between 4 other similar restaurants I will continue to use the neighbouring restaurants in the future

I nearly lost my trust in the faked and artificial town Marbella. We went in expensive restaurants and did not find something really good. La red is different. There philosophy is to serve good food for reasonable Price. Ok, they serve fast because of the low price, but they are friendly. The fish, the wine, the sweets and starter, all was excellent and fresh. I do not understand why they are not higher ranked.

We were traveling along Andalucia and stopped in Marbella and looking for where to eat we saw La Red very crowded and in fact it had a reason. The seafood was excellent and fresh. We enjoy it very much.

Our rental condo owner (who is local) referred us to La Red as one of the authentic places for the pescados al espeto or grilled fish. If you are open to try authentic cuisine, this is a place for you! Definitely different from any North American restaurants, as the food comes right from the sea (since we have ordered sardines and dorado). For anyone visiting the cooking itself is a show - fish is simply salted over and thrusted into open flames for a few minutes. All the portions are quite big, so even appertizers are enough for sharing. As La Red is located right on the beach, it is an amazing place not only for a dinner, but for a few drinks as well. Prices are very reasonable (as everywhere in Spain), despite the local opinion that this one is quite expensive. Don't overdress, the setting is quite simple, but we enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely worth visiting!

Walking along the seaside pathway outside Marbella wondering where to eat we followed our noses to La Red and had no cause to regret it. The sardines were an excellent starter as was the whitebait(in English). In fact the latter was nearly a main course size helping! The steaks were excellent. Cooked as ordered, which isn't always the case, and good value as they came with a baked potato and some veg. The food was good and the bill was modest. Service was a bit slapdash but friendly and cheerful. All in all a good experience .
