“una estancia fantastica!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

I stayed for a week at Puente Romano at the beginning of June 2014 and I absolutely loved it.
My junior suite with garden view (overlooking the pool) was brilliant with a most comfortable and massive bed, a sublime bathroom and lovely terrace.
The staff at reception, waiters, chambermaids and pool attendants were all faultless to a tee and most charming.
Breakfast in the Puente Romano was a celebration of culinary delights every single day . You could eat inside or outside, the choice of food was incredible and if you fancied something special the chef would prepare it for you.
The different restaurants situated all over the "village" prepared beautiful dishes from french,
italian, japanese, lebanese and spanish cuisine.

I am full of admiration for their positive thinking, their attention to detail and kindness to all their guests.

I can't wait to return!!

Bravissimo.
Con fuerte abrazo Jacqueline Noy

Let me preface this review with we stayed here with our 2 year old for 2 nights, so we didn't get to enjoy the facilities as much as we would have liked. Upon check-in, we were informed that we were getting an upgrade. Well, we got a nice room (not sure how much different it was from our original booking of a suite) but realized it was as far away from the pool and beach as they came and there was some minor work being done in the hallway which was loud. My complaint was ignored so i left it alone. I still wonder if the guy in front of me at the front desk complaining that he had to have a room overlooking the pool for his nanny and who was insisting that the manager call another manager to make this happen, got us this "upgrade". But at a place like this, a pool view room probably was an even bigger upgrade, lol.

The hotel itself is pretty neat in that in the evenings the "courtyard" becomes an open air restaurant, night club etc. There are a lot of amenities and really no reason to leave the property if you don't want to. It was really pretty to look at- from our balcony, and people were definitely having a good time. Lots of pretty people!

This is the type of hotel that nickel and dimes you for everything though! And it's expensive for the little stuff. There's no complimentary milk for your child or croissant to take to your room, unless perhaps you're the guy who's ferrari's front fender was parked on the curb in the parking lot by the front desk.

I did get a massage at the beach (i walked down and waited because after 45 minutes the concierge never got back to me). It was heavenly. OMG. Only heard the crashing of the waves. Seriously, you have to treat yourself if you come here.

There's also a cute organic restaurant by one of the pools. They offer some interesting and tasty juices and snacks.

If you come here with a small child, bring your nanny or hire the babysitting services so you can utilize all the resort offers.

Room Tip: try to get closer to any pool which brings you closer to the beach

We have just arrived back from our 2nd trip this year to The Puente Romano. Each and every member of staff did everything to make our holiday perfect and achieved just that.
There are ample restaurants within the hotel and we have never had a problem booking any. If you book through Concierge they do make sure that you get the restaurant of your choice. The Junior Suite was of good size and kept remarkably clean. Del Mar sitting by the sea front for lunch is a must. Try the sardines! This Hotel is a 5 star Grand Luxe and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and is worthy of both of these. We are already booked to return in October.

My wife and I recently visited Puente Romano for a brief respite during a long trip to Spain that included a lot of sightseeing and much traveling. What we got was quite a lot more than a respite - it was an amazing and luxurious experience that completely relaxed us and recharged our batteries for the remainder of the trip.

Marbella is gorgeous, and the Puente Romano hotel fits in with the local decor. It is conveniently situated right between the the two places that visitors would want to go see - the old quarter and Puerto Banus. Because the hotel is right on the beach, you can take long walks along the promenade and traverse much of Marbella's beachside. There are beautiful views all around, contributing to the relaxing atmosphere.

But as our trip to Marbella was for relaxation, we spent only minimal time away from the hotel. The hotel itself has three large pools that are all very inviting and relaxing. They offer slightly different atmospheres, so you can take your pick based on your preferences. The chairs are quite comfortable, the food and drink menus are fantastic, and the service is very attentive (but not annoying). We spent much time at the pools. We also enjoyed the hotel's gym facilities. The main gym has modern equipment, and the steam room and sauna are a delight. If you are a tennis player, this hotel is fantastic for you - the tennis facility has many clay courts and two hard courts, and even has a main arena where big matches can be played.

Our room was perfect - a large suite with ocean views and a fantastic balcony. The bathroom was all marble with a large jacuzzi and separate shower. We arrived to a beautiful fruit plate that we enjoyed over the course of the several days we were there.

Speaking of food - breakfast was absolutely divine. It had the best hotel buffet I have ever seen. Fresh fruits, cheeses, meats, pastries, eggs made to order, freshly squeezed juices, etc. Breakfast was so plentiful that it filled us up until Spain's late dinner time began!

In short, we absolutely LOVED the Puente Romano and plan to return. It was a fabulous experience all around and we already miss it only a few days after leaving.

It was great staying at this hotel. The location was amazing and the front desk were really friendly. The room was spacious and the best thing was that bowl of fruits we found in the room. Mangos, dates, berries, apples, banana, kiwi...etc! The terrace was awesome that you could tan in there. Definitely a great stay.
