I visited the resort at the begining of september after getting a great all inclusive golf and breakfast package. The hotel is lovely and has an amazing setting right on the beach, it is classy and from the minute you drive in you feel its luxurious, the rooms are spacious and clean with free aircon, The pool area is fantastic loads of beds and on the beach if you prefer, there is a cool bacardi bar to chill in the evening before heading out, {Puerto Banus is less than 10 mins in a taxi} the breakfast was ok and catered for everyone.
The staff in the reception were friendly and helpful as was the golf co ordinator who rang round last minute on our final day to get a round booked elsewhere for 8 people.
The only downsides to our stay was that the bar staff were extremely unfriendly and abrupt and seemed put out whenever you asked them anything.
We played the south course 3 times as we were told the north was unavailable as it was holding an event later that week we later found out from a marshall we could of played it????? The south was a good course except one thing..... The FIRST TEE is a 10 minute cab ride from the hotel which we found bizarre, you could get to neighbouring courses quicker and cheaper than to your own course??? also the 12 taxis we took back and forth were never the same price ranging from 8 euros to 14 euros maybe the hotel need to use a reputable firm or provide a shuttle.
This aside our stay was enjoyable the golf good and i would recommend and visit again.

Dear guest,
It is very nice to read that you have enjoyed your stay in our Hotel.
I really appreciate your acknowledgement of our staff from our Front desk and golf department and I am glad to know that she helped you in that matter. On the other hand, we will take care about your comments from our Bar staff and we inform you that it is in our Food & Beverage Manager’s hands.
Regarding your remarks about the golf course, we would like to inform you that we have an agreement with them so when they have availability our guest can start from South course tee number 11 which is located just in front of our Reception. Nevertheless, as your case, you have the option to rent a buggy from tee number 11 and go to number 1 through the course.
We hope to see you soon and it was a pleasure to have you stay with us.
Kind regards,
Fernando Al-Farkh

Just come back from a stay at the Guadalmina Spa Hotel, went with a 2 friends for a 3 night getaway and it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. When we arrived we were upgraded to a beachfront suite which was fabulous really comfy bed and everything in there you could need. The staff are really friendly and helpful they really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. The hotel itself is really clean and pool areas etc are immaculate.

We hired a four poster bed on the beach for a day and it was amazing you feel really spoiled they bring you cava fruit and frozen towels every hour if you go to this hotel you must do this!

The spa was lovely and we were given free use of this for a day, again the spa staff are really helpful.

Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and nice food, drinks at the bars are also reasonable.

I will definately be going back again hopefully next year.

Thanks to all the staff for ensuring we had a great time !

My friend and l decided to have a short break (late august), we usually stay at an hotel in san pedro but decided to try Guadalmina as it was on the beach and next to the golf course, so l could check it out should l want to visit with my golf mad son and husband. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite, it was beautiful, very large and had a great balcony overlooking the sea.
The bathroom was very big with a shower and bath and there was a seperate toilet with bidet.
The breakfast was very nice had everything you could want and plenty of choice, no problems with the coffee as before mentioned they had a few different types. The pool area was very clean and its nice being able to rent the towels. There were plenty of sun beds in different areas and we never had a problem getting one even though the hotel was full. The barcadi bar was lovely and the drink offers made it very reasonable, they had cocktail classes where you made your own and it was all free. We ate at the beach restaurant lunch time and the food (and wine recommended by the waiter and not expensive was really nice). We had a late check out and they let us use the spa which was nice but the aircon didnt work so it was like being in a sauna. I hope to return in October with my family.

The staff are great, all round good service, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Rooms spacious and great sea views.
My only criticism is the lack of info, there are laminated papers with what's on, but they should be in the room, the hotel really needs an info pack and site map in the room, we didn't know there were two bars, the second, lounge bar is a perfect setting, more comfortable and casual, and have make your own cocktails free sessions :-)
Breakfast was excellent, food in the evening less inspiring but a quick taxi ride and excellent recommendations from reception gave us better meals than in the hotel, a shame there is a lack of Spanish food in the hotel, they could make so much money by turning the beachside restaurant in to a tapas bar in the evening.
Spa experience good, price v quality better than the UK.
The AquaGym and Boxing was fun, staff again humorous and friendly.
Supermarket about 10 minutes walk on the main road is good value and well worth a trip for liquids rather than the pool bar.
Loved it :-))))

Very good break.

Almost a 5/5 except the food and lack of info. Would return.

We returned to this hotel following our last visit in 2010 and it has got better....

We booked 2 Superior Sea View Rooms, like last time, however these were in the area up from the hotel rather than in the separate block and they were nicer than the others we stayed in last time at the same price.

the staff were really helpful and courteous and the hotel remains a fab place for a short and relaxing pool holiday. The pool is just gorgeous.

Room Tip: If you book a superior sea view room, request those in the main hotel block - not the ones separate...

Dear Guest,
We deeply thank you for your positive comments about your stay in our Hotel. We are very happy to hear that you see a lot of changes from your last stay with us meaning that our efforts are recognized.
I am glad to hear from you that you like the rooms you were allocated this time. As you wrote in your comments, we have two blocks where we have Superior and Standard’s rooms. In fact, it is depends on the guest’s tastes due to we have some guests that prefer these rooms because of the quietness that offers the central garden and the frontal sea view.
It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope to see you soon in a third visit.
Yours sincerely,
Fernando Al-Farkh

I have spent two wonderful weeks in July in this lovely hotel. We chose this hotel especially for its location at the seaside. Also it was perfect located for visiting the most important sights in Andalucia like Granada, Cordoba,Seville,Gibraltar,Jerez,Cadiz and even for a day trip to Tangier in Morocco.
The hotel is very clean, has a wonderful garden,a well maintained pool and very nice surroundings. The only minus was the front desk staff, always indifferent and with a cold attitude.
But all in all it was a great holiday and I definitely recommend this hotel.

We just spent 10 wonderful days here and we got more than we expected. A room with a fireplace, lovely terrace and beautiful view of the sea and gardens. The free wifi was a definite plus. The pool area is well maintained and staffed. Great towels and sun beds. The aqua aerobics was really nice. The Bacardi chill area is a must visit location for a great mojito. The Sunday brunch was fabulous and a very good value. Breakfast was extraordinary and included with the price. The champagne was a great touch. The spa was also fabulous. Do at least one thermal circuit while you're there. The. gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The staff was courteous and helful. The hotel is in good repair and well maintained. We used the central location for lots of day trips. To get the most out of your stay rent a car. There are so many nice restaurants for dinner not far from the hotel particularly in Nueva Andalucia.

Overall this hotel is a class act. It's location on the beach is wonderful. It exceeded my expectations in every way. But, it is hard to find. Once you get there it won't be difficult anymore. It's just that initial visit. There are a lot of twists and turns in the road but keep going... It's paradise when you get there.
