“Wow!”
Reviewed 13 December 2011

This was our second stay in this hotel. Our first stay had resulted in the hotel very generously and fairly giving us a free 3 night stay, as there had been some building work in the hotel that we hadnt been informed about that did slightly mar our stay! During our first stay we had a partial seaview room...which is in fairness what we paid for! However, this time we were given what I felt was one of the best rooms in the hotel ,certainly the best balcony right up in the top left corner of the hotel overlooking the sea and the pool...it was absolutely huge as was the room!

Cannot really fault the hotel from the welcome with complimentary fizz to the service to the room it was all lovely! The entertainment wasn't up to much, maybe more that it wasnt our era...but we didnt stay in the hotel in the evening so this didn't bother us at all, with all there is in marbella not sure why you would stay in much anyway. The room was luxiourous, and always spotless clean, there were even some complimentary bar items on arrival including alcoholic beverages. My only criticism would be that our double room (both times) had twin beds pushed together and they were made up as twins too! The pool is on the small side but as you are so close to the sea you can almost jump in from the hotel this isnt much of an issue and we never had an issue with sunbeds which does sometimes become an issue when one is abroad!!! The location is excellent, just at one end of the promenade so very close to bars/resturants but still peacful and quiet in the evenings!

The breakfast is without question the best I have ever had, you name it they have it, from bucks fizz to omelettes to a chocolate fountain to every kind of bread, cheese, yoghurt, cereal you could want. As a well of a selection meats, english breakfast items and even smoked salmon. I would highly recommend the outside dining area as theres nothing like an al fresco breakfast though there can be a bit of wait at busy times....understandably! We didn't have the evening buffet but expect it was of a similar standard it certainly smelt good! We did have lunch however and again food was excellent, the steak off the bbq was one of the best I've had and certainly one of the best meals we had in marbella!

The grounds our beautiful coming down from the hotel to the pool. And very romantic at night with twinkly lights and candles. Think you get what you pay for and then some with this hotel!

On a week long tour of Spain this was by far the best hotel we stayed in.

Where to start, we arrived too early to check in but the reception staff gave us some free drinks vouchers so we made use of the bar while waiting. The bar food and drinks are expensive but definitely a case of you get what you pay for both in terms of quality and quantity. Our room was perfectly nice, comfortable, clean, spacious with a nice balcony and a large bathroom.

The hotel has a good location right on the beach and waling distance to the local restaurants & bars. Not as lively as Puerto Banus but a lot cheaper.

Without a doubt a particular highlight was the breakfast which was the best I have ever had, Champagne (cava) on ice, more pastries, cakes and breads than a bakers shop, eggs cooked to order, a great selection of just about everything you could possibly want even a chocolate fountain (for breakfast!!).

Traveled out of season so it wasnt too busy and we got a fantastic rate. Really struggling to find anything to criticize, Great Job!

Stayed at the Hotel for 2 nights 18/19/11. Arrived around 11am and was welcomed at reception with a glass of fresh orange juice. Check in was fast and we were allocated a room with a partial sea view on the 4th floor. The room was a good size although the furniture was a bit outdated, bathroom was large and had all amenities. Hotel is in a good location and a walk down through the garden takes you on to the promenade. Going the other way it is a short walk up into the old town where all the shops etc are. Unfortunately it rained solid for the two days we were there so we did not see much of Marbella. We resorted to the indoor pool and steam bath, sauna etc which were good. Had dinner in the hotel which was very good as was the breakfasts. On the friday afternoon we took the bus to Puerto Banus which is about 6 k away. Buses were frequent and very cheap and we got a taxi back in the evening which was 11 euros. Really enjoyed the hotel and would definately return.

Room Tip: Look for a room with a sea view we were able to sleep with the patio door open and enjoy the sound o...

On the beach and central so great for promenade and old town. Excellent buffet breakfast and clean tidy room which I paid a modest amount extra to be upgraded to sea view ( about 12 euros I think ) . Bar and staff friendly and I did pay unbelievably little in early November . About £70 for a double room including the upgrade and including breakfast. For me, and I know Marbella well, this is the best all round place to stay taking everything into account.

Just stayed last weekend for a long weekend. Good location being on the sea front (promenade) and a short walk to Plaza de Los Naranjos. Parking outdoors and underground (although a bit tight underground). Daily parking rate good.

Rooms nice. Large double (King). Bathroom nice and modern with 2 sinks. Overall quiet although I did hear a delivery wagon early morning (I am a light sleeper - wife heard nothing).

Breakfast excellent. The bacon/sausage/scrambled egg option typical "non-UK" standard but is the norm (why people complain about these things god only knows). Could order omelettes/fried eggs cooked to order. Choice of cold cuts and cheese. Cereals & fruit and yoghurt. Huge selection of different kinds of breads (rolls and loaves to slice)......but ....... don't think I have ever seen some much choice of "sweet" stuff at breakfast - from normal croissant to a "death by chocolate" cake. Had to have the lemon Meringue pie one morning. Wife went for the healthy option - pineapple and water melon on a stick ............. then run it through the chocolate fountain ;-)

Just returned from a 5 night stay - 8 ladies ages varying 50-70 and we all loved it.
The hotel is spotlessly clean with 2 pools and pretty gardens
and terraces, We were welcomed with a glass of cava while
we checked in. The staff on reception and in the restaurant and bar were all extremely pleasant.
What can i say about the breakfast that hasn't already been said.
I have never seen such a selection both hot and cold. The cakes and pastries were to die for and the final topping is the chocolate
fountain (yumyum) We enjoyed the champagne (probably cava - but hey who cares). We had some at breakfast then took another on the terrace while we enjoyed the morning sun and decided what to do for the day.
We had some lovely walks along the front - didn't quite make Puerto Banus. As you would expect from 8 ladies - we likea bit of retail therapy and loved walking round the old town shopping and stopping for one or two glasses of vino.
We ate out for 4 nights and on our last night had dinner in the hotel. Just like the breakfast there is plenty of choice including freshly cooked steaks, fish prawns etc.
I was also impressed with the hotel security you needed your room card to access lifts and staircases to the bedrooms.
Between the 8 of us - not one complaint and all i can say is rollon next autumn when we intend to return.

I chose this hotel mainly for the location and price on a recent short business trip. I was hugely impressed by the standard of service and the quality and price of food and drinks. The breakfast spread is excellent, never seen so many pastries and cakes, chef cooking omletes and FRESH squeezed orange juice included. A Chardonnay in the bar was Euro 3 and it was all very comfortable. parking in the heart of Marbella for Euro 12 a day is a bargain. The location for the old town could not be better, 5 minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants. Although some parts are looking a little tired and they do not have their own beach, (access is with your card through a gate), for this price you can hardly complain.
