“Decent centrally located hotel.”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 via mobile

We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was a no fuss basic 3 star hotwl. The only drawback for us was not having any kettle in the room. But otherwise, very pleasant stay.
The cleaner would clean the room thoroughly everyday. Bathdoom was good. The stuffs were great. If you just want to visit Marbella, you don't need a car, as the location of the hotel is right in middle of the old town. It's surrounded by gorgeous shops and the beach is 5 minutes walk away.

Two steps, and you're in the middle of the charming old town; few more steps, and you are at the promenade along the beach, with it's lively cafes, restaurants and bars.
This is a decent hotel with good service, clean rooms, and a chef that prepares very delicious lunches and dinners.
The only drawback that I found is breakfast! For the 7 days we stayed there, the food remained exactly the same morning after morning - quite boring, I must say.

Our group of friends took 3 rooms for 3 nights. We found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly, and their English good enough. The hotel's best attribute is its location in the heart of downtown Marbella just a short walk from the sea and adjacent to the "old town" area.

The hotel desk is on the second floor (called the first floor in Europe) but there's both an escalator and an elevator to get you up there with your luggage. It's on a very busy street, but there's a little pull in large enough to park 2 cars right in front of the hotel, for easy loading/unloading. Longer term car parking is in one of the nearby, but expensive, underground parking garages.

One evening I asked at the desk clerk about getting a taxi and was just told, "in front" with no more guidance. We stood quite a while on the busy street in front of the hotel, finally flagged down a taxi that told us he could not pick us up there, and he pointed to the line of taxis at a taxi stand across the street and down at the nearest corner. Wish the desk clerk had told us more specifically how to get a taxi!

The hotel restaurant and bar were OK. We happened to be in town during Holy Week (the week before Easter) and each night from the windows of the bar we had a great view of the nightly processions/parades passing on the street below.

There's a nice little outdoor courtyard that is a good place for a morning coffee, or for smoking, for those who do that. The lobby has a coffee vending machine that dispenses good cappuccino, espresso, latte, etc. in both regular and decaf. I noticed that in Spain, decaf is color coded red, regular coffee is green, the opposite of color coding in the USA. The back door of the hotel opens onto the pedestrian streets of the old town quarter, with lots of shops and coffee shops.

While this hotel is "nothing fancy," my only real complaint is that every time I went up and down the stairs from the lobby, I could smell the odor of a sewer. This didn't occur elsewhere in the hotel. Strange.

Room Tip: I had room 210 with window overlooking the central courtyard (but no view). This meant I had zero st...

I sated with my wife in mid march for 4 days. The hotel is ideally located in the middle of historic town and a few minutes walk to the beach. Everything is within a walking distance - shopping - restaurants - bars. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and the room (#331) we stated had 2 large single beds and spacious with a balcony facing the front, most importantly the room rate was very reasonable. We would certainly recommend the hotel to all our friends and family and love to go back to stay again.

Room Tip: We certainly liked room #331 which has 2 large single beds and the size of room is much larger than...

I stayed at this hotel with 2 of my girlfriends for 3 nights in March. The staff were all friendly & the room was clean with a balcony overlooking the square & fountain. The location is hard to beat as it is central for both the Old Town & the Promenade. It is also convenient for the bus stops which we used to travel into Puerto Banus. We had a fabulous time & I would definitely book this hotel again if visiting Marbella.

We stayed here just for 2 days, but the service was so excelent, it was sad to leave the hotel. We asked if we could deposit couple of our bags a day before we checked in, and it was no problem at all. We have been staying in Marbella for 3 months and so ended up with double the bagages than what we arrived with. We were so afraid our bags would weigh more than 20kg, so we asked the manager Cristobal Yague if he can help us, and not only he found us a scale in the kitchen even helped us to carry the bags up one floor (no lift) to the weighing machine. We have traveled and stayed many hotels in our travel over years, but we must point out this hotel and the Niwa Hotel in Tokyo beats every other hotels. Thanks again to a very freindly hotel staff.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the old city are quieter.
