“My comments”
Reviewed 29 December 2012

I needed some peace and quite over the Christmas period and opted for an apartment rather than the cheaper studio in the belief that I would get a full sea facing balcony and was not disappointed. The view was amazing! The reception/lobby has very warm and welcoming decor with mostly friendly, helpful, professional reception staff. My apartment, although showing signs of wear and tear, as expected at the end of a busy season, was adequately stocked to enable cooking the odd meal. Cleaning items ie brush, mop, dishes etc., would have been appreciated. Asked for a clothes iron and received one with ironing board within minutes. The noise of dragging furniture from adjacent rooms was somewhat annoying and would have been unbearable to me during busy periods, I'm sure.
The lift terminated on the 7th floor level (my floor), with a small flight of stairs up to the Restaurant and a further short flight up to the Pool... not suitable for persons with mobility difficulties. However, the panoramic views are stunning.
Parking was a problem and the hotel had no special arrangement for clients with surrounding car parks, that I found disappointing, however, I managed to negotiate a rate of 105 euros for a 14 day stay with the conveniently attached and secure mutuapark. I had noticed and heard prospective guests look for other hotels due to the parking issues, but no doubt they would encounter similar issues along the golden mile, other than a 5 star hotel, maybe?.
Overall, the hotel is ideally located on the sea front within easy access to the town center and and beach front restaurants. It is safe and very, very clean.
I had a very pleasant, peaceful stay and would not hesitate in doing so again.

Room Tip: Choose an apartment on floor 7 for the best views, quick access to the restaurant/pool and minimal l...

Looking back this is now our 4th visit & 3rd visit here over a Christmas period and it never disappoints.
From the friendly welcome and "Nice to see you again" on arrival to help with car parking or whatever you request.
Allocated a full sea view apartment on arrival which was a nice surprise.
Car parking rate used to be by special arrangement with the carpark contained within the same block.
Unfortnunately no formal arrangement exists now however by showing room card we did manage to get the rate of Euro 19.05 per 24hours (expensive!) reduced to Euros 12.00 without difficulty.
So convenient as to park & go out - as is the 24 Hour Opencour Supermarket also in the same block for a shop.

Room Tip: Get a sea view apartment if you can sunrise & sunsets spectacular. Only noise can be early morni...

Stayed for one night, great location on the beach near shops. As we stayed in november it only cost £15 pppn. Self catering budget apartment. Clean and did the job. On the beach so great location. Would stay again and would recommend

Located at the east end of the promenade these apartments are well situated for the beach (a stones throw) and lots of bars and restaurants along the seafront and in Marbella Old Town (5 minutes away) Rooms and public areas are well appointed and well maintained. For those wishing a self-catering stay the small kitchenette provides good quality standard equipment, and there is washing and drying facilities on a higher floor. There is a nice pool area on the roof with excellent views of the surrounding area. Whether it's 4 star would be debatable, perhaps upper 3 star would be more appropriate. Nevertheless a very nice stay at an excellent rate. Only two downsides: there is no car parking (although there is a facility around the corner at 12 euros a day but it does look a bit iffy) and parking in Marbella is very expensive if you can find it, And the walls are thin so there is quite a bit of surround sound from adjoining rooms, especially from the plumbing - but hey, most hotels seem to be like this!

The Location is probably the best in Marbella the weather was great we did have 1 rainy day and one or 2 overcast but overall brilliant! The Hotel is spotless the maids are 1st class every day it was liking walking in on day 1 again :-) the bars the food the atmosphere are superb, we had a walk to pueto banus (long walk) but well worth it. We are deffo going back to this hotel next year The roof top pool and sitting area has some amazing views..I would recommend the apartment the room is a good size with a separate bedroom. We would highly recommend this hotel and resort

Our studio apartment was on floor 6 and had side views of the sea. Booking in is easy, check out is simple and staff speak English very well. The hotel is spotless - apartments are cleaned daily. With so many great tapas bars and restaurants all around there really is no need to cook at all but the basic two burners and microwave mean that one can buy food in the local Open Cor supermarket and relax over breakfast on the balcony.
Wifi in the apartment would make things perfect.

Room Tip: Front facing rooms are usually booked up first

The best things about this hotel are its proximity to Marbella’s seafront and Old Town and the helpfulness of the staff. It is in a quiet location away from the main road and the only real sound at night was the waves hitting the shore.

We asked for a sea view, and were given a room on the side of the hotel. This still provided a nice sea view but not quite as good a view as the rooms at the front of the hotel. This wasn’t a big problem for us.

The staff on the reception desk were brilliantly helpful. They provided vital information on local shops, restaurants etc and also helped us book excursions to Gibraltar and Ronda. If you go to Gibraltar make sure you book the ‘rock tour’ rather than the ‘shopping tour’.

There was no wifi in the rooms but free wifi was available in the reception area where there were plenty of seats.

The only thing that annoyed us during our stay was the smelly food that the inhabitants of the room next door were cooking. Each day we returned back to the room to find a different smell – fish, garlic etc. However, this is unlikely to be an issue for most people.

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The TV has many European stations including BBC and ITV.

There are several good restaurants and cafes near the hotel. Our favourites were Da Fabio on the seafront and Stuzzikini in the Old Town. Both were excellent Italian restaurants. If you’d like to try tapas I’d highly recommend La Taberna del Pinxto which is located just off the seafront. Da Bruno was another good Italian. Some of the Old Town restaurants and are very touristy and the prices can be higher there.

We got the bus from Malaga airport to Marbella bus station ( €6 per person) and then a taxi from the bus station to the hotel ( €7 ). This was a very easy way to get to the hotel and much cheaper than a € 60 euro taxi fare.

You can get the L1 bus to Puerto Banus from outside Citi Bank on the main street behind the hotel. It cost €1.18 each way. Puerto Banus is worth a visit just to admire/observe the wealth on view. News Café was a decent place to stop there for a coffee and croissant. PB prices are much higher than those in Marbella. We got the boat back from PB to Marbella – this leaves every hour and costs €8.50 one way.

There is a supermarket neat the hotel, but you can find a cheaper and better one along the seafront in the same building as the cinema. This is about a 15 minute walk along the seafront towards Puerto Banus.

There are undoubtedly better, more glamorous hotels in the Marbella area, but you’ll struggle to find one in a better location and with better staff. If you don’t have a car it’s perfect.
