“Great base!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014 via mobile

We booked this hotel for my daughters hen party 18 people of mixed age groups. We asked that the rooms be close together and by and large they delivered. The rooms were 1 twin bedded room and lounge/kitchenette with double ring ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. We just used the fridge for milk etc and the hob to boil kettle - never cooked!

Clean and well presented, we had a very large balcony joining the patio doors on both bedroom and living area, nice west facing to get late eve sun and all rooms have good sea views even tho ours was on the side.

Superb location for a well maintained beach, just 20 steps across the pedestrian area to front and you are on beach, with beds and brollies. Great beach bar/restaurant another 10 steps to the right, all on beach, perfect. Prices good for beach drinks too.

Roof top pool area a real quiet sun-trap, with a snack bar/breakfast terrace area. Quite expensive breakfast and not brilliant, so those that wanted any walked along seafront a 100m or so to one of many good cafe bar restaurants.

Staff on reception good and very patient with such a large group of lively ladies.

Taxis pull up right on the front on request and approx 15euros into Puerto Banus. We used to meet each eve in the bar under the hotel, Drunken Duck (got called every combination of names you could think of that weekend)! Diego looked after us well, gracias señor!

Would recommend, try it. :)

My friend and I recently stayed at the Princesa Playa in Marbella.
We had found the hotel through tripadvisor and chosen it based on its location and price - it was just as we had antipcated.
We were lucky enough to get a sea view room which was brilliant.
The room was big enough for a long weekend with twin beds, bathroom, balcony and kitchen facilities of fridge/freezer, crockery & cutlery (you will need your own washing up things).
The room was cleaned daily.
The restaurant that served breakfast and had a bar that opened till 4pm was on the 7th floor and the pool was on the roof. Breakfast was basic but plentiful.
During our visit the weather was good but the wind was strong, which we weren't protected from up on the roof but we braved it out.
All staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is perfectly located at the quiet end of the beackfront promenade and the old town sits just behind.
Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a seaview if you are comfortable with the sound of the waves

Just back from a great weekend. The staff were so friendly and our room although basic was all that was needed and I couldn't find fault. The rooftop pool was fab and the bar :) breakfast was the let down so my tip would be to eat breakfast elsewhere. But the location is sing perfect!! Great weekend d would go again

We stayed here on our recent trip to Marbella and everything was perfect. the staff are friendly and most of them speak English. The reception staff were very helpful in letting us print our boarding passes for our return flight. They have a little pool on the roof top terrace, which we enjoyed on 2 different days during our stay. The location is right on the beach and within walking distance of all the restaurants and the old town.
I would recommend anyone to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Spent a week here over the easter holiday, The location is as good as it gets, right on the beach, you go to sleep to the sound of the med crashing against the shore.....reception staff very pleasant and the place is spotless.

Stopped here for 2 night at the end of our trip through Spain. Fantastic location on the beachfront, just a short stroll to all the bars and restaurants Mabella beach and old town have to offer. Big comfortable room and clean. Beautiful rooftop sundeck and pool with amazing views. For what we paid this hotel is excellent value for money and we will be staying again. The only downside is because each room is equipped with a kitchenette, you can often smell in the corridors some foul concoction your neighbour is brewing in their room for tea! Bleurgh!

Stayed at Princesa Playa Hotel in March for 3 nights.

Excellent stay! The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated next to the beach and very close to restaurants/shops etc.

Room was clean and comfortable. Maid service daily.

I would definately return in the future.
