“Quite good but of limited interest”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

I think this museum will vary depending on the visiting exhibition. There was a photography exhibition when I went and it was interesting but I think that it would not appeal to everyone. There were some contemporary paintings but the actual engraving is just one old cellar with a couple of old engraving machines. The rest is well displayed art and photography work. A quiet and pleasant place to visit.

“Excellent collection of works - worth a visit”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

The Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo is located in the old Hospital Bazan, a 16th-century building. It houses exhibitions of engravings and art by many artists including Miro, Picasso & Dali. It's a great collection of works and well worth a visit. There is a small entrance fee and toilets are available inside.

“Wonderful collection”
Reviewed 3 December 2012

This Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving is situated in the heart of the Old Quarter of Marbella very close to the remains of the caliph wall and the Iglesia de la Encarnación. The Museum is in a building of renaissance character but with a clear and significant gothic-mudejar imprint. (XVI c.)

“An important site”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

The Engravings Museum is an important site in Marbella's Old Town. Housed in a medieval palace near the cathedral, it has a permanent collection that includes works by top contemporary artists such as Picasso, Dali and Miro. There are interesting exhibitions and workshops are held on a regular basis.
