We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for a friends 30th.had such a good two days relaxing around the pool only to go back to our rooms and find three out of four rooms had been broken into.money(English and euro)phones.the back doors had been forced open as they don't have proper locks on them.suitcases had their locks broke off.but incredibly everything had been put back as if nobody had been in!we went to reception, the manager was no help at all and she didn't look surprised that we'd been broken into, the attitude of one of the reception workers was disgusting, they didn't want to deal with the matter at all,as they were checking in guest,we was told 'we've delt with the matter' when they had done nothing.if we wanted to inform the police we would have to ring them ourselves.they couldn't move us to the main hotel so we we're moved to another set of bungalows,as 8 women we didn't feel safe at all.by the look of some other reviews it doesn't look like a one off thing,it's awful to think that this keeps on happening and the hotel are doing nothing to stop it.

Just returned from a 3 night all inclusive stay. There were a party of 8 girls in 4 bungalows. On the second day 3 rooms were totally RANSACKED and money and phones were stolen. The only reason the fourth room wasn't done was because my friend was asleep in it all day. Whilst you can be broke into anywhere what wasn't normal was the reaction of the hotel staff and management. They were not interested in the slightest. They were reluctant to call the police and did not offer any support or assistance. We were moved rooms and whilst they thought they were doing us a favour in this it was completely necessary as the patio doors in all three had been damaged in the break in. The incident pretty much ruined our holiday and what could be a nice hotel is let down by incompetent and uncaring staff. On a plus note the pool complex was fab, the rooms were lovely, branded drinks on the all inclusive and located on a great beach. Big thanks to Will and Emma a Scottish couple who really looked after us. Would only return if there was a complete overhaul of frontline staff to 'normal' people.

Booked a 4* but in reality this was a poor 3* closer to a 2* hotel. The 'bungalow' room décor was very dated. Tile grout dirty although maids did their best to keep the room clean. Food was quite horrid, very poor quality but I enjoyed the grated carrot and beetroot in the salad bar! Every night was the same with poor quality meats disguised in a 'gloopy' gravy, vegetables grossly overcooked, the grill with fish and meats was slow and not very appetising. I will say thank goodness for the melon, it kept me going for the week. Staff were helpful and friendly but this did not make up for the overall poor quality of accommodation. We were looking for a relaxing week and were extremely disappointed by the difference between the advertised and the reality.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel!

I booked a 4 star so was confident that the standard would be good. What a disappointment. The Hotel and rooms where, in my opinion, no more than a 2 star at the very most. The place was down at heel and very, very dated. and looked as though it ws last decorated in the 1980's. No aircon as it wasn't working and the ceiling fan was on it's last legs and seemed as though it was about to fall from the ceiling. The reception staff were the most rude, obnoxious and unhelpful I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with. The hotel is mostly used by Spanish and German guests and the staff did not speak much English and what with my very rudimentary Spanish it was challenging. The gym is a total joke. Some rubbish, broken down pieces of equipment in a dingy room. The food was ok although it felt like going into battle every time one went up to try to get any food as the other guests had no sense of manners - it was a free for all. The hotel was far further away from Marbella than I was led to believe (7km and 20 euros in a taxi and the airport was a 70 euro ride away). There is very, very little to do there. The rooms were though very clean and thats about the only positive.

Room Tip: try another hotel

Just got back from 5 days at this hotel the first week in Oct, booked without checking reviews and was dreading it a bit after I read up on the hotel on here after I'd booked!

In my opinion any negative reviews are so wrong it's as if they stayed at a whole other place to me.

Arrived at the hotel after our airport pickup (we used 'holiday taxis' it was £35 for 2 of us both for arrival and departure and we had nice air conditioned cars 25 mins to hotel the friendly drivers were on time no delays like mentioned in other reviews) spoke to the guy on reception who was great at speaking English he was friendly but not smarmy or over the top but certainly not rude, he gave us our room card a map and explained clearly the meal options available for half board.

We found our room easily which was one of the bungalows, this was a worry to me as some reviews said they were unsafe, ours want too far from reception (no.120) so I'm not sure if this impacts on security of rooms but ours seemed secure and there was security pet rolling the whole complex area. The bungalow was great very quaint it was in a little square with a fountain in the middle which was lovely to listen to whilst out on the terrace, we got afternoon sun (hottest hours are after 1pm) you can sit out or lay down and sun bathe. Rooms were very clean lots of complimentary toiletries which are topped up daily, rooms would benefit from updating but I was happy and we didn't pay over the odds.

The pool/sun lounger area is clean, loungers are ample we chose to lounge next to the beach entrance (accessed by your room card) it's a little quieter the poolside. The beach is really nice and the sea is warm enough to swim in, the mountains are to your left which is great scenery whilst in the sea.

The food selection is ample great selection of cold pastas/salads to eat lighter, fresh fish cooked daily.

There's a few shops/restaurants around the corner (one reviewer said there's none which is not true they are a five min walk away), great supermarket. There's also some restaurants along the beach which offer great value food and cocktails, we went to Restaurante Fernando's a couple of times, great tasting food - i recommend the Red Sea Bream.

Overall I'd recommend this hotel to those after a quiet relaxing sun soaked break.

Room Tip: Request an end bungalow fairly close to reception not on the outskirts of the hotel perimeter.

Reception very very slow, bungalow adequate but very dated. Must say very quiet no one in high heels on floor above which was nice. beds ok, (big thing for me on hols as a poor sleeper) restuarant more like a butlins canteen, I didnt like food as Pork & fish every night which I cant eat, food not to warm either. We didnt like idea of having to go here for our lunch as well, there was no where you can eat outside in the wonderful weather. All meals had to be eaten in the same place. Entertainment was all in Spanish, didnt hear one word in English at all. I dont think they liked us as Brits being there, Location - on a beautiful beach> FULL STOP, we reallty enjoyed going on beach in the day, but found the evenings very boring as nowhere to walk as on the main road running through the coast, no pavements, we did catch bus to Marbella for 1.18 but couldnt find bus stop to come back and no one could tell us where it was, so we ended up getting a taxi back for 20 euroes - 4 miles up road.. would we go again - NO.

The main reason I was so disappointed in this hotel was that it didn't meet the standards of what we were expecting in terms of the price we paid! If this was a holiday I had spent £300 on then I'd say fair enough it was exactly what you paid for. However my friend and I paid almost 3 times as much. This was during school holiday period so again, prices rise which is inevitable, however judging from reviews I thought this hotel would be perfect.
We wanted to see the high life of marbella and still do some nights in sweet adorable marbella old town so we looked for a hotel that wasn't in the centre of puerto banus, something that wasn't quite as 'in your face' and 'up itself' as most of puerto banus is.
Neither me or my friend, who went for a girly holiday just the two of us, are snobs but we aren't stingy either. We were prepared to pay the prices but just wanted somewhere a little further from the night life.

This hotel was a disaster. No one spoke English, people were rude, there were screaming children EVERYWHERE. I love children but some of these kids were just on another level of rudeness and ignorance.
The sun loungers were horrible, the beach was vile and you had to pay to stay on it.
No supermarkets close by, no restaurants near by or anything to interest a young crowd. Taxi to old town or banus was only about 15 mins away but cost a fortune. Usually about 20-30 euros for just 1 way. Sometimes on a night it was even more!
You couldnt go out and get away from the pool for a day because there was nothing on the beach and no restaurants near by. It is literally a hotel smack bang in the middle of a busy road with nothing around it. Come 7 o'clock in the evening my friend and I weren't bothered about the taxi prices, we just wanted to get the hell out of there! Even when we weren't drinking we'd come back at about 2am just to stay away as long as possible! I don't like some of the crowd in puerto banus but I do think it's a nice place and I honestly would have rather spent the crazy money to stay there rather than stay at this hotel.
The rooms were basic and clean but nowhere near 4 star quality!! 3 at an absolute push!! The staff were rude and if ever you wanted help using a map or finding your way around they never had enough time or patience to help you.
The most god awful part was the pool activities during the day. Normally a show put on by the hotel staff, music blasting out all day or water aerobics of some kind. I really wanted to just drown myself in the pool and get it over with!
Marbella is amazing. We LOVED it, but our holiday was ruined by this awful hotel that isn't worth the money we spent.

Please only stay here if you've spent about £200, have lots of children and aren't bothered about large taxi fares to go to anywhere nice at any point in the day or night. The food (luckily we were not full board) was mediocre at best and the same every single day from what we saw.

This is a cheap and cheerful place for spanish families. Groups of friends avoid at ALL COSTS!!!! and don't book with Jet2 or go in school holidays. If you do a nasty shock awaits. Do marbella properly and not by halves!!
