“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014 via mobile

Just returned from a fab long weekend in aloha gardens. We are girls in our 30's who were looking for a relaxing weekend with a couple of good nights out!

After a very easy taxi ride from Malaga airport we received a very friendly and speedy check in and were very happy to be in the impressive townhouse we had booked. By the pool within 30 mins of arriving! The townhouse is great value and could easily have slept another 2/3 people! A huge garden, balcony and roof terrace. Perfect for an evening gin and tonic.

There are countless shops, cafés, restaurants and bars right outsideas well as a supermarket within a 1 min walk. Nellies deli does great toastie to eat by the pool. The hotel has 2 pool areas, one quieter and one where larger groups settle. Also having a shower room to change before leaving was also great.

Taxis are across the road and only 7/8 euros into Puerto banus and Marbella old town.

We had a superb 3 days and would definitely return. We were so impressed with the welcome pack of bread, eggs, milk and water. Townhouse was also immaculate and spotlessly clean. Spare pillows, towels etc.

Great value, perfect location - would definitely recommend.

Also for info, the bar by reception is fab! Think it is called the Lounge. Delicious mojitos for 8 euros and a good dj. Great atmosphere - we found ourselves still having fun at 4.30am!!!!

Just back from a fantastic long weekend staying at the Aloha Gardens resort. Apartment was spacious, well equipped and extremely clean throughout. The resort has bars and restaurants reasonably priced given the location and we walked to Puerto Banus in ten minutes. Supermarkets are also close by making it very easy to cater for the family, Loved the small garden area and was able to sit in privacy or stroll over to the poolside also. Will definitely return hopefully in the summer. Brilliant time had, would highly recommend this complex / resort.

This is a good place to stay, but if you want the sun try to get a flat on first floor. The flats are well equiped, heat/air-condition, dish washer, washing machine, tele ision etc. A lot of drinking glasses but only 4 small spoons and 6 plates.....does that mean that the guests drink more than they eat?
Reception well i formed and polite, some receptionists are better than others. Take care about medical costs a normal visit costs from 120-145€.

Dear Jettedpx,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about Aloha Gardens and we take on board your comments.

There should be eating utensils for 6 persons and there is an itinerary check prior to each arrival, we are sorry that this slipped through.

In order to guarantee sun we would advise anyone to stay in a townhouse which has a large roof terrace.

I am surprised to hear about the cost of medical bills, another option would be visit the local hospital Costa Del Sol which offer a great emergency service, any treatment can be covered by your travel insurance or a form E11 (UK).

Thanks again for your kind comments

Though situated 10 mins away from Puerto Banus it is situated in a quite neighborhood with numerous pubs and restaurants outside. A very well constructed and big property. Worth spending time with family or friends.

Just returned from a short stay. Lovely apartment which was super clean and the complex is in a great location. Lots of good places to eat, a good walk down to the port but taxis are not expensive .Close but not too close to the bustle of Banus overall good experience.

p.s. If you are there at the weekend don't miss the Saturday market!

Dear liveinessex,

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for Aloha Gardens, we are very glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you will return one day.

The walk is 2 km from the Resort into Puerto Banus and takes 20-30 minutes, not advisable in high heels or with small children !

Thanks again

Great value accommodation. Just outside Puerto Banus so is quiet but convenient. 3 pools. The 3 bed apartments are spacious and well equipped. Good local restaurants and shops a great place. There are too many stairs but good parking makes up for that.

Dear Skips55,

Thank you very much for your kind review of Aloha Gardens,

Steps is a major feature of the Resort and there are a number of levels, as you say there is a superb (24 hour secured) underground parking available which will take you more or less to your accommodation. We would certainly not recommend the Resort for anybody with walking disabilities but if you can manage a few steps we do have apartments with easier access, just let us know in adnace.

Thanks again and we hope to welcome you sometime again in the future

We have stayed at these apartment for 1-2 weeks a year for the last 4yrs. So I thought it was about time I wrote a review!
The apartments are well equipped with everything you could need. This year the apartment we stayed in had been modernised and was lovely. Although due to its place could be abit loud at night with people walking past coming back from a night out if you were sleeping in the twin bed room. Ear plugs sorted that situation.
The pool and gardens are well kept and beautiful to walk round with some lovely views of the mountains.
Yes there are lots of steps but for the fit and healthy thats really not a problem!
The gardeners are friendly and the security guards are very helpful. The reception staff are helpful but sometimes come across differently but this is just the way the Spanish are. They will sort out any problem you just have to be patient.
There is an open cor shop a 5 min walk. Plenty of restaurants and bars less than 2 min away and a taxi rank across from the reception. It cost € 7 to puerto banus. Really good for nights out but its only busy from about midnight, dress well and look good and you may get in most places for free! Marbella isn't far in a taxi or on the catamaran from puerto banus. Looking round the port at the flash cars, designer shops and posh yachts is a must. The bus is €1.18 to go anywhere in banus/ san pedro with plenty of stops about. Good for having adventures.
Puerto banus is becoming more and more popular in resent years.
I have to thank the staff especially the security guard for helping me (and my friends) in our hour of need you were fantastic!!
