Owner description: Cabopino Golf is located on the border between Marbella and Mijas Costa, opposite the charming little Cabopino Port. The Course was designed by Mr. Juan Ligués Creus, who’s layout presents spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding pine forest.. The Course with 5.170 metres; and par 71 has three par 3’s, two par 5’s and the rest par 4’s. Amongst the many spectacular holes, the par 4, 3rd hole would be the one to mention. The tee box perched on the side of the cliff presents you with a tee shot that has a drop of nearly 80 metres to the fairway, then you face an elevated green protected by a large bunker. Holes 13 and 15 are also attractive, with streams and lakes.

Played this course on sat 9th May with a group of twelve and i must say I really enjoyed it. We played three courses over a long weekend, calanova, miraflores and Cabopino and this one was my favourite. Really nice course, very scenic in places and great greens. Overall a good choice if your on a budget.

Third time I've played here (early May) and, whilst in the poorest condition of the 3 times, it was still pretty good. A real challenge - the first 7 holes are tight but them it does open up a bit but still far tighter than UK. Like all courses in Costa del Sol, you have to be very straight or you lose lots of balls. Some great holes like 3rd, 12th, 13th, 14th & 15th.

We played the course with 2 members who where great company and helped us round the course great help on the par 5 12th as its anyones guess where the green is. The course was in good condition except for a couple of greens which were a bit bare. Its a par 71 course, on the short side in length but well worth a visit. buggies a must (4 1/2hr round) as on nearly all spanish courses.

Cabopino is a nice welcoming but very average golf course, it isn't the best course on the Costa but that is reflected in the price, if you want better courses there are many to choose from but beware they can be expensive. Cabopino helps to average out the cost of a golfing trip and is well worth a visit.
